For some reason, it is hard for me to do any cosmetic upgrades to my own bikes.

My kid's bike on the other hand:

I made a replacement number plate out of aluminum.

They also got a new graphics kit:

Orange like my bike. Anyhow, they had a blast helping put the graphics kit on.

This is what the bike looked like when we first got it:

This nice weather is making the fact I can't ride even more frustrating!

Back from a weeklong trip to Deals Gap, Nashville and Conway AR. Did my SS1K run on the way back, putting the IBA application together today. 1080 miles in 17hrs.... on the VStrom with a big thanks to my excellent Corbin seat.

So when we getting together for a dinner? Sandbridge Pizza on a weeknight maybe?

I wish. I85 had a couple nice views, but pretty mundane overall. 460 miles today with my wife trailing somewhere behind in the car.

Yeah it's gorgeous, but it's also Memorial Day weekend so I've decided to stay on the porch. Too many drunks and fools weaving around right now for me.
Instead, I'm changing tires and brake pads on the Sportster .

I was going to head to the mountains on the DR but went moutainbiking at Freedom Park this afternoon with my son. I saw eight troopers heading over there from Gloucester. The traffic on 64 was light. Won't be tomorrow.

The boy and I headed up on Thursday to do a shakedown run before our summer trip. Came back today to avoid the traffic tomorrow.

Lots of riding and fishing. Caught frogs, newts, etc. Grilled out and he built the fires and fetched me beers in the evening.

The forest service roads beat the hell out of the trailer but after replacing some chinese bolts with some Grade 8 merican bolts I think it will be okay.

Hey boy, do me a favor and grab that piece of black hose.
