They split you into groups, so from what I've heard they keep it fun for every level.

Ugh, I wish I could get away and do moto things.

Work seems to think I've figured out how to clone myself so I can simultaneously troubleshoot circuit board designs whilst programming thousands of lines of embedded system code.

And to top it off, I'm trying to review for my FE exam in October.

Every time I start thinking about taking a long ride out of town for a weekend it quickly gets beaten down.

I told my wife I may just have to take my moto trip in the middle of January!

They practically do. No joke. They have a guy that drives around the practice field in a X5 and sets up a tent and chairs for you at the rest periods. He busts out the cooler with cold drinks for you. The cafeteria lunch was better than most restaurants. I remember I had baked haddock one day. It's a first class operation all around.

For what it's worth, looks like it would be all yours if you wanted now.

So apparently I need a chest protector for the class. Did not expect that.
Anybody local have one that would fit 6'2" me (I wear a size L in Rev'It) that I could borrow?

You do not. A good armored jacket is all they require. However, given the heat down there, a chest protector and jersey is much cooler

I think they tell everyone that, probably an insurance thing. I have an EVS G5 ballistic jersey in XL that you are more than welcome to borrow. It will fit you and it will be way less oppressively hot in the SC sun.

Have a Thor Impact rig if you need it.

Cheers

I'm thinking about taking a moto trip down to the everglades and the keys in the middle of winter (Jan/Feb timeframe) just to see what all the fuss is about. Camping a couple nights in the cypress national preserve, and one night in the keys. One day slab-burner trip down with a two-day trip back.

Anyone interested in being my wingman? I'll do it alone, but the spousal unit would feel a lot better if I had someone travelling with me.

Slades Park

Taking the boy up to Slades Park tomorrow. I plan to bring his new (to him) CRF150R, a CR80, and KX65. He's pretty excited as he rarely gets the opportunity to ride except in our court. The CR and KX are for sale by the way.

Dude! More heads up! I live about 15 minutes from Slades. Only been there twice. 1. Came in off the power line trails and promptly got run off. 2. Winched Matts Honda out of a mud hole with one of those dirty, dirty Yamahas.....

Sorry man. It's hard to plan these things in advance so I jumped on the opportunity before the wife said no.
