Dualsport madness Saturday early AM.

Any inmates up for an early morning ride on Saturday?

Meet around 06:30, meet location TBD near trail. I am looking to ride the trails near military highway in chesapeake, then the dam neck and oceana trails.

Sorry about the early start time, but I have to be a good father/husband on occasion, so it is O dark 30 for me or nothing.

Well, if the trails aren't likely to be too much for an off-road noob with a 1200GS, I'd be game. I didn't buy this thing to stay on the pavement.

You should see how I treated my R1150R. That thing spent more time in the mud than a lot of GSs do. FFBurger and I went to Nova Scotia a couple of years ago, and it was funny running into two sparkling 1200GSs while riding my mud caked RR.

But I also realize that roads appropriate for an experienced rider on an xt225 aren't necessarily a good idea for someone like me on a behemoth.

Hey - not sayin' you shouldn't try it. Only one way to learn - there's no such thing as experience w/o value.

The trails off Dam Neck (if it's the same trails I've been on) have a log crossing that might be a bit much for the 1150, but like Upst8 said....... bring a camera.

I'm not known for my sanity, and I enjoy photographic (and video if possible) proof of my idiocy as well. So this should be enjoyable for all.
