Rigid carbon fiber AND single speed. He'd been out for 9 days. Funny thing is, he's an ER doc. At least I knew if I bit it on the way down, I might stay alive...

Ophir Pass

Imogene Pass

I told my wife that I wouldn't do Black Bear on this bike, but Imogene Pass was a great deal of fun. Challenging. I also went up to some higher elevations and was stopped by snow.

Also went to Animas Forks ghost town.

BRAC is turning work into a ghost town.

I was in CO for a conference and wish I had had the Wee. I know why people go there and don't come back........

Had a super scare today. Was cruising my XT350 today and stood up for a second to catch a breeze and stretch my legs. Was riding down Norfolk Ave at about 40mph with cars behind me. I sit down to take a turn into my condo complex and low and behold... my left peg falls off

I took the peg off a few days ago to paint the frame and apparently I didnt tighten the top bolt enough? It must have backed its way out from vibration while I was standing and the only thing holding it in place was the pressure pushing down holding a tiny bit of thread. Had that bolt come out while I was standing.... Id be fucked up right now.

One word. LOCTITE!

What shop? Any recommendations (i've been doing stuff myself for so long I've got no affiliations). Friend took his '06 FJR to Sunrise and seemed happy with their service dept.

My recall letter is on the way - wiring and ignition switch....

Mines at Cycle World and is supposed to be done today.

Kind of a new experience for me too, I always do my own work. I've got no recommendations, Cycle World is less than 5 minutes from here so I used them. I've got no complaints.

The recalls are all very simple if everything goes right. For 99% of the people the grounding issue is just a new small sub harness. If they see any damage then they replace the entire harness as a precaution. I was one of the lucky ones that needed a complete harness and they are apparently scarce as hens teeth so it has been there a few weeks.

Did the FJR come home today?
