Way to go Paddlemitch,

You've accomplished something that many riders would not even consider
trying.

Thanks so much for the great feedback. I spent too much time packing the night before. I only got 3 hours of sleep--up at 0130 and out the door at 0200. I think the limited daylight made things challenging. It would have been much easier in the summertime.

I really had a great time near Brevard. Those are some great roads.

Plus, I knew if I posted here about the ride that I would have to deliver! It was easy. 1500 miles, now that would be something in 24 hours...Maybe in the summer...(better be careful what I post!)

Go west in the summer...it's a breeze! You keep gaining hours plus daylight.

UpST8... I couldn't find one here. There is one on the COG site. If the high winds delay my docking evolution on Thursday, I may be working instead of riding this weekend.

yep! She's running good now, dug way too deep into the EFI and Fuel Pump, went into the harness and found a power wire corroded with a nice little break in it, think it was grounding onto the frame as well which drained the battery, soldered, shrank and taped the hell out of it...ran like a champ for the last 200 miles since.

Going to run out to Natural Bridge on Friday for the BRR COG Ride...

Glad you found the problem. Sometimes small problems can cause big headaches. Have fun and be safe on your trip.

Long time no post, folks. Been busy lately, and haven't kept up with the happenings. Hopefully I haven't missed anything too dramatic. I also hope I haven't missed a meet-up at that BBQ place you all are always talking about. The name escapes me now.

Anyway, took some pics a few days ago and thought I'd share.

What harness and how did it get corroded? The harnesses are pretty protected from what I've seen. I need to check mine.
