Just a random thought, the past few weeks I've been riding the YZ250F a lot, a really great FUN bike,,, but now what keeps crossing my mind,,, how hard would it be to get street legal, (any kit recommendation / experience?) And plated here in good old VA ?

For a YZ it is pretty tough. A lot easier to do with a WR but it is possible and its bad ass when its done.

The question would be, is this enough to get'er done ,, well that plus tires? Maybe change to steel sprockets?
Definitely a back burner project at the moment. Gotta finish the klr & DR first seems when ever I have time to do stuff I ride instead

Why dont you go the Vermont way, I think Nuggets is about to get his KX " Street Legal " Dirt-Viking got his done up there, I think it is pretty simple. Maybe PM one of those guys

My topo map is showing about 8-10 miles of 4WD paths north of the James...just north of Rt 5...Charles City County road about 2 miles north of 155 and 602 split. Anyone familiar with this area? I've ridden the roads but not offroad. I'm not far from Smithfield.

DAMN CHAD!! That was sketchy lol.

I was so nervous about splitting lanes in San Fran with panniers. Thought for sure I was gonna take our a Ferrari mirror.
