Excellent report and pictures. I really enjoyed them!
I grew up in Joburg and am amazed to see how it has grown since I left. Just got back from Capetown visiting my folks and drinking lots of great wines! You really have to go and check out the western cape as I think it is by far the most beautiful part of SA. Sooo many cool places to ride and explore in the mountains. Also crime is not as bad down there.
Thanks for sharing.....

Steve

Thanks for this amazing and original RR. At least It gives a positive image of this country which is too much depicted as a crime harbor by the media. SA is certainly a must go place for anybody looking for a unique riding experience.

You are very lucky to have all this country at disposal, so just go.

Just discovered it from ur Dalmatia RR.
I hope your next time to ZA u'll have a .... more fitted bike.
a 990SE would be fine. HP2 also.
those bikes have been made with this country in mind, more or less
when do u plan to go back ?

Picoda.

Thanks for the great report. SA is truely a place of vast diversity of culture, terrain, affluence and weather.
We have it all here, admittedly with our fair share of problems too. I wouldn't swap it for anywhere else. I think once Africa is in your blood you're screwed.
I wish more of (our now ex-) countrymen shared the sentiment.

Thanks again, and come back again, this time down South!!
