IIRC, Paul Mantz converted an A-26 for use as an aerial camera platform. I could be wrong about this, but for some reason it sticks in my head.

I went into our museum to do some snooping on a TBM avenger that stopped over (I am working on one at this time). While there 2 gentleman came in and of asked specifically to see our DARPA SSBD F5E. (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Shaped Sonic Boom Demonstrator)




Turns out he was the Cheif AreoDynamisist for the project! I got to spend several hours with him teaching me about the airplane/modifications/theories/etc for the project.
