No kidding. My trans has always been classified as Agrarian.

True, but I suspect that rig doesn't come factory equipped with traction control, ABS, and cruise control... when you outfit a bike with those creature features, and price it well North of $10k, I expected at a minimum the Triumph Brits could figure out how to make a mediocre transmission.

Don't apologize. He has 12 other bikes scattered around his house and he is just going to make it even faster while we all sit here in envy.

I like the Ural tractor transmission (also well north of $10k new) let's me know it's rugged and in gear. The buttery Japanese transmission on my Suzuki makes me sleepy.

Have you tried wearing motorcycle boots instead of high heels while shifting?

No, like I said it wasn't mine for a year when he got it. I would like to know what happened because I know guys with close to 10k to 20k on that motor. The 450X I got shortly after that with a refresh of consumables is still kicking and it's an 06, well I hope it's going over some mountains today. Plus it was just nice to see him break a bike instead of himself which is what happens almost every time he rides.

What race you plan on doing....plus remember I still have that stock spring while you have it apart.

The wise-crack about the Cop Motor was just too good an opening. [reference to the Blues Bros.]
Pressmoto's TW is still hummin' along nicely!
Your 5 Star rating is still intact.

Hey hey now, I've only got 3... the 990, 450, and 300. Kindof weird having room for a car in the garage...

2 main ones are sandblast and rally wv. Possibly black river stages later in the year.

Oh I got it, just forgot to order my two whole chickens and dry white toast. Funny thing is we got another TW now but did the lowering mod and wife likes it better. She is even talking crazy like doing one of the rides like HNF

godwinmt........let me know I've always wanted to hit both those too. I've read good things about them. They also added a Rally in Michigan on dirt and sand roads too and watched some video of it

[/QUOTE]

Zamboni, what I like about riding in these high heels is that I have noticed I get a lot of looks from the car crowd, ha! Seriously though, Falcone did the ECU recall fix for me yesterday, checked the bike over top to bottom, and confirmed the "tractor like" shifting is indeeed how these scoots are supposed to shift. I have a Rekluse automatic clutch on my Honda 250F MX/XC bike, its going to seem really odd to be riding that bike wishing my modern day road adventurer shifted as smooth as my MX/XC bike. I have gotten used to not using a clutch, and it would sure be nice to have that auto option on this Triumph at stops.
