i have heard there were a few around. the only one i can think of off hand is the station just north of lake monroe on 446.

Can any of you Hoosiers help Kamakaziozzy with his photobucket? He is losing all of his pictures on his thread/RR called "kamakaziozzy goes to the city of the angels". Thanks ...

Great wheelie bike! Really wide balancing point. Only drawback was the oil pump would starve itself if you didn't let the front end back to the ground at least once every mile or so to let it take another slurp of the slippery stuff.

The good ol' '79 XR/XL500, on the other hand, could stand on the rear wheel for as many miles as you felt comfortable leaving it there.... oh, and even if you were a midget, you could still reach the ground

Street legalalizing?

Has anyone here gone through the hassle here in Indiana of making on off-road only bike street legal within the last year? I've been told that since our beloved BMV recently updated all of their computers that this is tough to do now. I have been toying with the idea of selling the XR4 and unless I'm lucky and find the next toy already done, it will most likely come to me un-plated or registered for the street and I'll want to make that happen. I've never crossed this bridge here, from start to finish, in Indiana and could maybe use a few pointers....

I did it about 2 years ago with the DRZ. I had to get a change of body style form from BMV,and have the police come inspect the bike(which he never asked to see if anything worked or if I had DOT tires) after he filled the form out took it back to BMV to get title changed from off road use only to MC.

Fookit, decided to keep her! Will just build an adition to the garage

Bought Wes'(wife's) Sherpa for tight trails, won't have to Fark it up for long distance touring, may strip her down for more trialsy like stuff and put on Knobbies.

I'm gonna bet that you may get by with a bike you've already plated, but if you buy one it better be already legal,I HATE going to the BMV anymore. You pays your money and...

Might make it viable for manufactures to sell even more race-based dualsports.

Or you can just use the ORV registration if you're just riding in the local counties(Not Monroe)

Beautiful day for some riding. Went by Franks where he demonstrated the proper technique of "layin er down". Sometimes, when thing get out of hand and beyond your control, you gotta lay er down.

Looks like way to much power!

I was showing off on my little mans 50 and put er down on the street. Tore one of my back pockets off and scratched our home phone up pretty bad in my other pocket. Good times. I didn't need that dignity I lost anyway.

It was a great day for some riding. Moto was great this weekend. About 3-5 inches of slop in most places but it wasn't too bad. Though once you wore through the slop you would hit bare ice. There were a couple other bikes out there that had a hell of a time until they started using momentum to get around.

No pictures though. I did get a video of crazy Kyle going up motocross. Might be a while before I get it uploaded though..

Yep, I think I'm gonna sell it. And no, I'm not going back to "just" the FZ1... That bike always gets caught on tree roots when I try to trail ride it.

I do absolutely love riding the XR4... and you can too! The air cooled "HonDeere" chugging torque is a blast all through the woods and even down the street. I've had WR450Ryan's bike at the store for a few days now and been walking around it, staring at it and drooling over it since he left it with me on Friday. That dang bike of his is really starting to grow on me. The fact that it's late model, less weight, more horsepower, liquid cooled, has the magic button and better suspension than the present XR is all just a plus. Also.... the XR doesn't match my all blue wardrobe.... and I really like blue. That, and I'm sick of oPAULo picking on me and making me feel bad for wearing blue while riding red.

There's a '08 WR250X sitting at the shop for sale right now that I'm selling for a friend of mine and I could buy it but I want something with a lil' more grunt to it. I've ridden it with the supermoto setup and just wasn't satisfied with the lack of power on the street and I'm sure it'd be no different in the dirt. You have to understand... I have no finesse or great style while riding and I have to use H/P to pull me out of a jamb quite often. I know there's a bunch here that ride and love your thumper 250's and that's awesome... just not my cup o' tea at this point in life, I guess ;-)
