That's just about your speed. Best part is that it's an automatic so you can keep your left hand available for those Marlboro reds you like so much.

Rain......what rain?

Got lucky this weekend, not a drop of rain in Kentucky.

Just blue skies, and miles of dirt roads and trails.

Well, I found a few raindrops today, but it was still some really great riding. If any of you guys ever go back, you need to get up there to that coal mine and explore awhile. It was a great mix of fast gravel, fast dirt, and technical stuff. I spent about 3 hours up there, and still didn't get to go down every road...

He looked like he needed a ride...

These were from Saturday:

red bird crest easter 2011

here are some video of our red bird crest trail around the hazard, ky. weekend..

this is a great place to ride that aint to far to travel to.. its south east of lexington. we stayed in hazard, the redbird trail entrance is a 20 mile ride from motel. redbird crest trail is a 75... ish mile loop consisting 50 ish miles of 2 track, the last 25 ish miles is single track.

we did pretty much all the 2 track, for the most part it was in pretty good shape but alot of water. i have a bunch of video... and they are kinda lengthy, but i was kinda busy and didnt deal with turnin on n off till i stopped.

i really would liked to have kept rick n jeremy in sight... but i was not feelin that great sat... so they kept gettin away from me, i kept tellin jerry to go ahead and let me bring up the rear... but he wouldn't have that.

these are in order from start to finish, but are not all of em...

this one is very long and is not the end of the 2 track.... but towards the end. i did a good job of not gettin the dr down all day.... but right at the end of this one i dumped it, and it had to be in one of the biggest mud holes in the joint. the bottom of these mud holes were like quick sand, u just kept sinking and it would suck you to bottom. i could hardly pull my feet outta the mud without losing my boots. the left hand control and bars were stuck in that slop along with my feet. i couldnt lift the bike outta that shit! jerry jumped right in and gave me a hand.... and without gettin the pic first.... which is very un jerry like! i could really care less about a pic of me in the slop, but i was sure i was gettin that slop in my air box as this stuff was almost knee deep. so i wanted to get it upright... quickly!

i have more video, but by now i am sure you get the idea and really don't wanna see anymore.

i thought this was pretty funny.... fri evening we were sittin round the motel parking lot doin the t mod on ricks dr and just shootin the shit, it seemed jeremy couldn't get there on time as he needed to adjust his chain... and took him half the day at home for that before he could leave. when he arrived and told us about that i figured i would check my tool kit for spare master links. when i opened my kit one of em spotted my mini pipe wrench.... the 3 of them sons a bitches gave me the biggest ration of shit for packin a pipe wrench! then on the trail we stopped at the food/gas stop and rick found his 12 year old chain had finally had enough and was sloppy loose. he was pounding on his jammed adjustable wrench... with no luck. i was sippin on my drink n munchin on a bag of peanuts.... didn't say a word. then jerry breaks out his tools, guess what.... he has nothing to fit that nut either.... i didn't say a word, kept sippin on my drink. i watched both of em scratchin their heads... then started grumblin something very quiet..... i waited.... n waited not sayin a word, then jerry walks away laughing, rick stands there shaking his head and laughs..... ahh yeah.... here it comes! he finally asks "hey man, can i borrow that pipe wrench of yours?" believe me when i tell ya that he paid dearly for that... i gave all 3 of those clowns an ear full they won't soon forget.

that lil pipe wrench has saved my butt a few times..

we finally completed all the 2 track... bout 50 miles of it and made it to this..

single track... right off of main road that runs thru the daniel boone. when was last time you saw this in the hnf!?

but at this point there was only one of us that felt like trying the single track. i was spent, this is as far as i made it..

about 20ft from main rd and stopped in creek... and said, no way... i am done..

told them guys to have a ball, i would find me a pile of leaves in shade and wait for em.. jeremy wanted to keep going, but i was done... then jerry followed me to a shadey spot..... then rick followed as well. it was a wrap, we were done!

jeremy coming out from single track..

i wanna go back and start where we left off... at single track, and try to complete the whole 25 mile section. i bet that will be an all day ordeal all by itself...

a fun weekend on motorcycles was had...
