There was a bunch of little stuff wrong that added up, but the biggest thing wrong with it was that it bent the frame/swingarm mount. If you looked at the bike from the back the rear wheel was tilted ~5-10 degrees from vertical :(

The nuts part is that the frame member that runs along where your leg does on the left side was actually slightly kinked...scary to think that that the bumper bent that bar through my leg.

I thought about buying it back, but really the only things that could be salvaged on it were the engine, rear shock, maybe the rear wheel, and the front forks/triples. The fancy excel wheel up front that was ~2 weeks old was bent from the impact too :(

Only prob is the 30lbs i put on in the last 5yrs.

It has been 12 years for me and I still crave them almost every day, and I wasnt even a full pack a day smoker. I put on 35 lbs and have begun losing those; in the past 6 weeks, lost 11 pounds and 10 points on my blood pressure. :-)

I witnessed my ol buddy paul so worn down and outta breath one day riding trails behind his house... He was kneeled down drinking ditch water... That I had peed in a lil earlier!

He needs to make a change..

I really like klim gear... I'll stick with my firstgear kilimanjaro jacket since its hi viz, but gloves/ pants, klim is the way to go. I either get it from revsport in Bloomington, or the motorcycle superstore outlet in Louisville, but that's kindof hit or miss

How the hell do you think I quit...first day I wore a patch, nicorette gum, and puffed the snot out of one. I've since upgraded to a "pro" model and things are going pretty smooth.

Do you guys get insurance on off-road only bikes? As far as who pays for what, what's customary here if there is a collision off-road? I've not heard of any liability legal nightmares, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I'm guessing most of the bikes out there are uninsured. DMV told me you don't have to have insurance off-road. But they also told me I didn't need a new plate this year... then sent me one.

I'm assuming if you land on an ATV, you can just keep going
