Before you invest in a Scala Rider, take a look at a Sena SMH 10. I just bought one and have put a helmet adapter on my dirt helmet and my street helmet. On the dirt helmet I opted for the speakers in the helmet. On the street helmet I got the adapter with a headphone jack and use my custom molded earplugs with speakers in them that I got from http://www.fit-ear.com. They are awesome. I got the M2-XB and am amazed at the sound quality. I also use them when listening to music from my iPhone while mowing the yard, on a plane, jogging, etc. so they are multi use. Anything with a 3.5 mm jack.

The Sena connects to my Garmin Zumo 660 and gives me spoken directions and connects to my iPhone and gives me music playback and the ability to take phone calls while on the bike if I choose. It will even voice dial my iPhone which makes it handy to place a call if I ever need to. It also allows intercom communication for up to 1 mile, so I can chat with a riding buddy who also has one. It will actually pair with up to 4 other SMH 10's.

I am a bit of a techno geek however and have 2 GPS devices (Zumo 660 and GPS Map 60 CSX), a Spot Tracking device, Sena SMH 10, Kenwood 2 way FMRS Radio, V.I.O. POV 1080 HD Camera and a GoPro Camera. Plus I carry the iPhone to connect up to the Sena for tunes.

Riding with music has been very enjoyable to me, especially on long trips. Listening to the big thumper pound away on a long highway segment can get pretty monotonous...

Wow, whatta they think of next...
Like fetuss sez Tim, you can load songs on your phone. I use Etymotic earbuds myself for slabing long boring rides. Mine plug into the earphone jack on my android phone. Of course you can use a bluetooth dongle also to connect with your phone.

Sure you just don't want to rig up your 8-track to the wing???

Teaching woodsrat about technology is like teaching a dog to shit in a litterbox. He gets the point of us motioning him to do something but is confused on exactly what to do.

Rick had his Gopro and should have some video his son took.

Rick, how you feeling today? Did you get it on video???

Feeling ok,just part of getting old it hurts longer.

Alex got part of it on video, but not what slung me over the bars, just me flopping like a fish on the ground

ur right...not good for the two lanes...but i dont listen to music then. I think about other things. Good for the slab tho'. But it does loop eventually.(i change channels then). Sirrius might be better, or the mp3.
