Not really, they played other sports because that is what their friends played. Also they scared themselves several times and finally not much interest, maybe they will ride again.

They see me ride street bike about everyday and dirtbikes about twice a week and races on the weekends, and they never want to go, my wife has never even gone to a race either.

I just sold a crf50 couple months ago.

Just noticed you are from Lebanon, wife has family there and she graduated from WEBO.

Cool. I am a transplant to Lebanon and don't really know very many people around here. Only been here for 2 years.

Anybody else interested in making a trip down this year?

Me of course!

Look into the Strider no-pedal bike to start him on.

They are pretty cool. Lots of shops are starting to carry them.

Some people try to turn back their odometers.
Not me! I want people to know "why" I look this way.
I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

Also look up Romanicas and now we have one state side called King of the Hammers or maybe that is the truck one but it's run in conjunction with that. It is a course laid out by JImmy Lewis who has competed in all these events and placed 3rd in Dakar on a BMW boxer 900

I think King of the Hammers is the truck one. I didn't know they started running bikes with that event that is crazy.

You're right Kevin my A.D.D. kicked in and I had to know after typing that so I just looked it up. King of the Motos kicks of the King of the Hammers week, they said it's like Burning Man for the motorheads.

Striders Rule! My son got one at 18 months and it taught him balance before pedaling. He then learned to ride a pedal bike at 2 3/4 years old and mastered it in 2 days. He will be 4 in June, just in time to get a 50cc dirt bike! You can even ride your Strider at a BMX USA event, Marion County fairgrounds has a great BMX track where Striders are encouraged.

You can even get an official KTM Honda Yamaha or Suzuki Strider. Don't get the generic Strider either, they are way heavier and cheaper built. You can even get snow skis to add to the Strider for winter.
