F will be awefully buzzy on the road and higher mantanance. Wicked woods bike though.
R is smooth on the road and gas oil and go. Street legal. Does good in the woods too. Fuel injected.
R getting the wholeshot at a MAXC race.

Wait, you said X. That's a supermoto bike. Dirt wheels are pricey for those.
You wanting to play in the mud at all??

Fun little trip, that road

I believe it's even a short cut compared with going all the way to Bean Blossem and then north on IN 135 to Morgantown.

It's paved all the way and a total hoot on anything with two wheels.
Thanks, Woodsrat and AC909, for mentioning this route to Morgantown. Just did it this afternoon for a quick Sunday ride. There was about a mile of gravel between Carmel Ridge and Lick Creek. I think it was called Richards Rd. My phone told me to take it and it sounded like a good idea. Keep the suggestions coming. As a new convert to the dual sport world I need to know about more of the small roads that make getting around more fun!

WR250r = Best bike for Road and Woods has lower maintenance fewer vibes - Street Legal out of the box 71 MPG
WR250f = Best bike for Woods - Requires a kit to be street legal
Wr250x = Supermoto - Street legal, but you would need to buy dirt wheels for any serious off road fun

It all depends on what you want to do. If you want a bike to ride on the road as well as in the woods, the R is your best bet. If you plan to trailer the bike to the woods to ride, then the F is the best bet. If you plan to hit the supermoto track, then get the X.

It all depends on what you want to do. For me, if I only had one bike, it would be the WR250r...

Yanno, I'm STILL fuming about that whole ordeal! First off, It wasn't as if we were deliberately riding down the road *knowing* that it was a county road turned private property. We were all idling down the road at a snails pace. We all stopped too, to access our surroundings just as soon as something *seemed* outta place. Secondly, the guy riding up on the quad chewing our asses was one thing, but when we politely explained the situation and we gladly agreed without hesitation to turn around and go back out (on the gravel road) the way we came in, well here comes some guy with a high powered rifle, stands in his front yard and proceeds to raise up and draw a friggin' bead on my back as I rode past. Then, when I'm already idled past, he is still raised up and draws a bead on one of the guys behind me... WTF?!?

i didnt even start a bike today, even though i had planned a trip to lcrp.. since it was warm enough to apply the adhesive for camper roof.... (i been putting off all summer), i finally got after it.

even managed to glue myself onto wrong side of camper, the ladder and beer was on other side. so i just had to sit and wait till it tacked up enough to lay it down.

so... i just sat up there and yelled at dog till it was ready..
