That dr has fresh o rings in it. But one day you will walk out to a puddle.

I. have been getting into habit of turning gas off before getting home and letting bike run till it dies. Leaving it sit without fuel in bowl at all.

Maybe o rings will last longer that way.

license branch results

The Hope License branch came through for me today

What worked for me was the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicals bill of sale form http:\\forms.in.gov/Download.aspx?id=5521 (as AC909 said before) and the police inspection http:\\forms.in.gov/Download.aspx?id=4998 completed by a local officer (as nickgindy said before). I also had the Odometer Disclosure Stateent http:\\forms.in.gov/Download.aspx?id=5061 signed by seller which allows the title to state the mileage as "actual miles". The Hope BMV kept all of those forms for submission. Of course I took proof of insurance forms too. And then the most important part... an office manager willing to override the normal process for a title application based only on bill of sale!

The indiana bill of sale form is important because it has buyer and seller sign that false statement is the crime of perjury.

The police inspection only confirms that the vehical is not reported stolen and what the vin number is.

So that avoided over $70 in additional small claims court costs, plus $20 late fee because the court process would make me late for title application, simply avoids a lot of time and paperwork. Title cost $15

My advice is to get the forms printed out from the internet before you go buy a vehical so the seller can sign the right forms. Get the police inspection. Get proof of insurance forms. Go to a small town license branch (if Hope is within range, I highly recommend it). Avoid Columbus license branch. It's not the size of the town that makes it work, it takes a license branch office that has a policy of accepting bill of sale for title applications. I suppose the manager has to make a judgement if you look like you are trying to steal the vehical. Anyway, good luck.

Ya I didn't worry about it as much with other bikes that I've had but I read the jets on my KLX carb gum up easily. Sure enough I bled the float bowl a couple nights ago and it look like crap. Sloshed some fresh gas in the tank and no bueno.

The bike was sitting for a couple weeks, so I'm sure the crappy gas we have now is the culprit. Oh well at least I'll have it ready for riding season.

Hope everyone in Indiana made it thru the storms ok last night. I left for work before daylight so I dont know if any trees are down on the property until I get home this evening. I did see one tree down next to HWY160 this morning, but it was a no biggy. We had high winds and rain this morning about 3am. Lost power for a few minutes (almost always during storms-the power comes into the valley only in one direction-there is no loop-and comes off the hill next to the clark state forest-so trees knock it off-line sometimes). On my road, the power lines actually stop at my house, the power comes off the hill into the valley, and branches off to the 3 roads in the valley-one of which is a dead end road. The other road the lines go down, the power lines stop about 100 yards from the next road and power lines-different power company-so they dont intersect.
Hope to see some of you guys on Sunday-going to ride to the meet-up unless we get more snow on Saturday than the forecast.

Summit City Group in Fort Wayne

Hi all,

Just dropping a line. My name is Steve and I'm based out of Fort Wayne. I adventure tour with my outfitted 2005 Honda Big Ruckus.

Anyhow, if there's any one who rides in NE Indiana in or near Fort Wayne, it would be great to hear from you. On a side note, I run a group for serious scooter (100cc+, vintage, maxi, etc.) enthusiasts in the area, and perhaps you might be interested in checking it out. Our page is here
