Sunday lunch run?

I got detained this last Sunday and couldn't make the lunch run. I did manage, however, to get to the BMV to get everything legal on the newest steed in the stable, the "Austrian Punkin' Chucker II"... I'm hoping to get it out Sunday morning to do some recon/adventure work north of the Lake Monroe area if anyone wants to meet up somewhere. Will be most likely leaving Bedford around 9 or so and meeting for lunch at noon, wherever that may be. BTW, where is this weeks lunch meet? Anyone care to do Route58 Cafe again? They finally had bacon for their cheeseburgers last time I was there, so I think we're all good. What's the general consensus?

There are two in bloomington. The one closest to campus will suck as parking is non existant. Go to other one across from best buy off 46, plenty o parking.

Got the flywheel [ring gear] swap, slave cylinder, and driveline lube and set-up on my friend's oilhead Rockster done, so I'll try to get loose.

i really wouldn't mind hittin the one close to campus in summer time as local hotties will be sportin their daisy dukes! but now..... they will all be bundled up like woodsrat on hnf ride.. totally not worth parking several blocks away, and having bikes being out of sight is a no no... i am sure nobody would even wanna touch my wraggly klr.... but still..

it will be different... but in a good way.

it's a cafeteria type deal, go up to counter and tell em what you want and they make it right in front of ya.. and are cookin behind them. so you can see everything going on.

i like it like that as you most likely won't get a snot rocket in your food because one of your buds is giving the staff shit about a piece of chocolate pie... that doesn't exist ( those of you at brownies a few weeks back know what i speak of)....

Well...hokay then...if the beans and rice are good sho 'nuff.

Speak'in of pie, I've been hitt'in the pie at the Golden Gables lately. It ain't a match for The 3 Pigs back in "the day", but it still makes a good appetizer for their 1/2 lb burger. Coconut cream. Yeah buddy!

Not that I have a dog in this fight since I am working this Sunday but of all the great local joints in Bloomington to eat your picking Chipotle If you are ever wanting to check out a good Creole joint off of Kirkwood stop in Dats. They have great food, atmosphere, and prices. The restaurant is in an old house that is sure to fall in on itself any day now. On the same street is some great Thai, Lao, Italian, Tibetan, and Siamese food as well and it should be easy to find a spot to wiggle in your bike on a Sunday afternoon. Yes, I LOVE to eat and cook...just food for thought .

+1 same as Yats here in Indpls, owner Joe sold the place/idea , is fantastic and I go there once a week or better. That block has excellent places and room to park a bike.
Its hard to get away from these damn chains and try something new.
Chipolte is OK, they have a vid:
