Would be nice if we Indy guys could ride down south together.It seems like everybody goes alone,and run into the same problem as you on Saturday with that muddy section.

Agreed, RiderIN, it made it feel like a real adventure risking that terrain solo, but my mind would have been eased with another rider involved. I guess this thread is the place for us to try to put together a group in the future. That is, if winter ever ends!

Avrz10, sounds good. I guess watch here and we'll get it figured out. I'd like to hit that area again, test a couple of new roads, avoid some U-turns, and make it into a smooth continuous route. I'd like to have the route ready to go so any time I find myself with just one available day, I can shoot down, run the route, and get back home. I'm booked until April end, but by then the weather should be great and I'll start thinking about the next ride.

Mickdee, whenever you want to get a group of Indy guys together count me in too. I have actually been beyond that gate you were talking about on Elkinsville but I started off of Dewar Ridge Rd. in the T.C. Steele area. Its a fun ride along the creek and lake but it is slippery as snot when wet.

Anytime you Indy guys come south to ride, post it up. I ride up around Nashville, Bedford, Bloomington all the time. I dont have gps coordinates or anything, I just ride in any direction the bike is pointed and dead reckon the directions I am going, my moto is never really lost, I may not know where I am at, but I am not lost. There is a big river to the south, a bigger river to the west, an ocean to the east, and a different country to the north.

Last year was quite a bit of dirt. This year I have been told is going to be more "larger Adventure bike" friendly unfortunatly. It is a bunch of great guys that put it on and I STRONGLY recomend this ride to anyone I talk to. We ended last years ride at Interlake which was one heck of an end to a great great ride.
