I'm tuned in to that loose nut ride ac909 posted too. It looks great.

Davidc83 and beewill, I've got you guys in my contacts and if I do a planned ride I'll hit you guys up, or at very worst, at least post it on this indiana ride thread.

Nick, you still seeing your lady friend over here on the westside?
Ahhh, beewill, I was trying to end up on Dewar if everthing else would have come together and I could have connected with Blue Creek Rd, which I think was basically on top of at my northwestern most point. My plan was to attack it from the other direction next time to see how far I could get and figure out which roads are still in existence. Seems like you've already come from that end (from the northwest, right along the lake, one segment under water even in the satellite image on Mapquest). Is Dewar Ridge Rd a typical gravel road or is it something more primitive....dirt...forgotten....private land now? Any of the same knowledge on Blue Creek Rd ?

I guarantee, if you're riding a BIG OL' trailie like me, it'll be technical enough! Quite a few pucker moments, for real. This year, I'll bring the DR...

Dewar Ridge is a paved road, if I remember correctly, and it ends at a parking area for hunters and kayakers. Its pretty easy to get on to the closed road from there and I got to the bridge at Elkinsville but I could'nt get past the gate so I turned back. It's a fun ride when its dry. I believe it late October or early November when I was there last and it was wet but not under water.

Abate dirt bike class

I'm confirmed for the May 4 dirt bike class offered by Abate at LCRP. Any other novice riders who want to check into this, email edie@abateonline.org or call 800-232-2283. Kinda pricey and I may be the only adult in a class of 6 year olds, but if I learn anything that avoids one injury it will be worth it.

Good for you Don. Let us know how that turns out. If anyone ever wants a good DVD series to check out for offroad riding the best that we have found is the Shane Watts Dirtwise set.

I know the instructors there, one is a inmate here too. You should learn a lot from it.

Some people try to turn back their odometers.
Not me! I want people to know "why" I look this way.
I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

Test rode the the Rally bike today just to make sure the everything stayed put and didn't catch fire. Going to hit some gravel later this week.

Also since stickers are popular doing a small fundraiser to help fund my race. These are 2.5 inch sticker shipped to you $4 per sticker. I know a little salty but it is a fundraiser
