The bastards paved the road that runs along the river east of Atterbury. They also gated off Railroad road. :(

Went out yesterday to try the GoPro for the first time. Could have used more sun...

Rattle, rattle, rattle...

What are you guys using to edit video? All I have is Windows Movie Maker and it is painful.

I have Adobe CS4, but I can't find any video software in it.

Also, swung by the local Yamaha dealer and fondled a WR250R. If we weren't buying a house, I think I would have brought it home. The seat is an ass hatchet though...

Glad the weather is finally decent. Got out and rode 80+ miles of gravel and back roads around the HNF. Tried out the new to me wind screen. Worked ok, but will be more of a benefit on an early morning (cold) commute.

Riding

Sounds good, looking forward to getting a ride together. I'll have a business trip mid-may to CA and possibly going to head over to ohio for the hanging rock ride in Ohio the weekend I get back! , that is if I am not to worn out from the trip to CA. First time to San Francisco area, wish I could stow the bike on the plane and do a little riding in the mountains there!

I'd like to have the route ready to go so any time I find myself with just one available day, I can shoot down, run the route, and get back home. I'm booked until April end, but by then the weather should be great and I'll start thinking about the next ride.

You may be able to find a West Coast ADVer who will rent or let you ride their bike while you are out there. I posted something last summer when I traveled out there asking if anyone had any rental suggestions. I received a very generous offer: DRZ400 for the day!

Here is the ride report:

Good Times!

Tim, Thanks for showin' Noah and I around yesterday. I know you spent most of your time lookin backwards, and I really appreciate it! We had a great time.
While on the way home, Noah's stories about the ride kept getting more and more epic, and that he would've been faster if he was on a 140.
So those are good things.

and I didn't know banana's could fly....

By the looks of that banana peel you did a full-on refurb of the gearbox.
No more false 6ths.

Ride to the Ohio River

This is my first ride report so a quick introduction. My name is Tom and I live in Mitchell In. and I enjoy riding all types of motorcycles but Dual Sport riding has bitten me hard and I can’t get enough. Just thought I would share my ride with you all.
Threw a leg over the WR around 9:00 on Saturday and met up with soupbill and headed south.
Quote:
As we was nearing French Lick we ran into thick fog and decided to wait it out, it was so thick you couldn’t see 50 feet in front of you.
Quote:
Found this Power line begging to be ridden, so we rode it.
Quote:
We found some water crossings along the way!
Quote:
Quote:
Soupbill riding like he is afraid to get wet. He needs to visit the great people at Rev Sports and get some Klim gear.
.

Quote:
Soupbill enjoying that WR’s suspension!
Quote:
This is a bridge on Old State Road 37.
Quote:
We found this area to view down on Interstate 64.
Quote:
Stopped at a overlook to check out the view.
Quote:
Found a gravel road and a trail to take us down to the Ohio River and was able to see a Tug boat working.
Quote:
Soupbill loves his new WR.
Quote:
Hope everyone enjoys this,
Tom S.
