I was told that it runs still. The fuel tank was emptied before it was transported out from NY a couple weeks ago. I haven't taken the time to do anything with it except reminisce so far. It'll be a fun resto project this winter when the snow is flying again.

I didn't climb it when I had it but evidently, somewhere down the line, someone decided to extend the stock swingarm, add a Basani pipe and send their kid up a hill or two. When I seen the bike last, it was bone stock as the day that I saw the twinkle lights from the Christmas tree gleaming off the gas cap.

Sounds like a fun scoutimg trip for a Sunday. There's less than 1,400 people in Westport, IN as of the last census in 2010. Got any pics? Serial/Model #'s?? Someone there has got to know something...or where it traveled to, etc, etc... Let's go find it!

I'm guessing it's right where you left it......I don't think they ever haul anything off, just mow around it.

If you get to Westport take the road that goes out by there water plant there is a guy out there that has a barn full of old Triumphs.

Well, 3 Of the 4 Bikes I had at the time were in one of the motel rooms of the pine lake motel, right there at blinking light on rt.3. In westport.. Kinda hard to grow grass in one of them ratty rooms. The 4Th bike on other hand... That ol ratty yz175, it may just be in a grass pile in that trailer park!

Well, I'll never do it that way, but fun to watch anyway, and I suspect some inmates have skipped water like this.

Anyone know what Indiana business Jamie references in the show, I think he said Service Power Sports? I think he also said they provided 250 class aluminum frame with a 600cc 2 stroke for extreme light weight and high power.

Looks pretty awesome. Only $12k!

I had an 86 xr80 as my first bike. I sold it when I got too big for it and got a few other bikes afterwards. 2 or 3 years later when I was in high school I found it, bought it back and did a half ass resto on it. In welding class I made some wider pegs and a faux toshi tri-oval pipe. Sounds pretty good, and works too. Turns out it used to be Mike Brown's old pit bike. That would explain the 3 on the number plates when I got it. The PO helped brownie at kenworthy's and offered to sell this 80.

Here is after my resto. I stripped all the hardware and got it all zinc plated. Powdercoated the frame and swinger. Would like to put a fresh motor in, as it is pretty worn out and get a new tank. The suspension and wheels need freshened up. I had an OEM seat cover, but didn't have the lettering on it and sold it with another bike. Everything else is great.

Thats awesome, the mighty XR80 "R". I had the exact same bike in the middle to late 80's. I rode the piss out of that thing. Ah the memories.

Every kid should be required to take a welding class in HS. That's an invaluable skill I wish I had.

I am bored. But seriously I got a 1975 Ct90 two weeks ago and it is stupid amounts of fun. Gonna be fun hopefully have it done for HNF.

Also I bought 3.44 acres of land in Brown County that has a pond on it and is on a pretty nice gravel road out by Helmsburg so maybe we can do the UNHNF there or something I dunno. If anyone wants to go camping and stuff hit me up.
