New tag and it was closed but at least its out of the back yard

I did some work to this house along time ago to restore some of the window sashes and got to walk all through it. I don't know if it is open to the public any more. We got lost on the way back and my butt was sore so this is all I could come up with. Have fun!!

The pictures of that chopper are cool. I think that veterans memorial is one of the nicest I've seen in a small town like Florence. Congratulations lasercustoms on your 1st tag. So I thought you were going to the "end of the world" for your new tag, which is actually in Tennessee (probably out of bounds). P.S. My smilies are smilies and not red Xes.

TAG

This is a combined tag between STRanger, Bratso, and Yankee Dog. We will drag straws to decide who get to post the follow on.

TAG IT, stage two...

Now we are home and can upload a couple more photos and tell the story, here goes...

The sign:

The shot with out flash:

The BIG SHOT, A group shot of the four of us... (note to self do not move head while taking a long exposure picture, it looks kind of scary)

Wow this is way too late for me! I do not do much of this late at night stuff anymore, other than sleep and dream about my next ride…

So the story goes something like this:

We had a club ride today with the Redstone Riders and we had a great time. We had something like 21 bikes and 32 riders, so it was a real good turn out for such a nice day and what a ride we had. So after the ride we had a few members come over to the house to talk about the poker run that the club is holding next Saturday. After a while of talking about a few other things we started talking about the Alabama Tag-O-Rama. So we fire up the computer in the living room, on the big screen, and start showing them the website and telling them more about it all. We showed them many of our old tags and talked about the most recent one being posted at some guy’s home. We did a quick search and find his house and show the group some of the tools we use and what you can see and find this way. But shortly after that we see that somebody has gotten it.

So we go on about our business and take care of a few more things. After a while we also go on to show them some more things about Google Maps and Live Maps. We take a trip around the world right there in my living room and we see so many cool places and we start talking about all the cool places we have been with Alabama TOR again, so we go back to the website one more time. Hey look the new posting is there and we get a chance to show them again how we look for and find the location of the tag. We find this one and start talking about maybe going after it.

So Yankee Dog, Bratso, Knotty Lady (my wife) and I work it out that all four of us will go after this tag and see if we can get it. The other club members get the bums rush as the four of us start getting suited up and on the bikes for Belle Mont House, near Norala Junction or Muscle Shoals.

It was a good night for a ride and the temps were not too bad at all. The roads were all good and the traffic was clear all the way. We find the location easy, there is a sign for it right out on Jackson Highway or 17 or 13 or 43 or RR6 whatever the locals call it. We get our photos and back up the road a short way to the Wi-Fi hot spot we saw on the way through town (Mc-D) and we check to see if we got Bruced first or not. All right no one has posted one, so we uploaded the shot and post the tag.

OK, now two things, we have not eaten yet and we have not worked out who gets this TAG. So we seem to recall a truck stop, just a short way back down the road, and they might still be serving food, so we head there and finally get some food. We hash some things out and we draw straws to see who will get to post the new location. I get the short straw, I think that means I win, so we worked things out and got on the road for home.

We split at the crossroads and go home to post this whole thing and give you all the next location to look for now. Knotty Lady and I get in the house and she said something about midnight and I’m going to bed, oh and thanks for bringing me along, good night.

So that’s the story for now. Thanks and Good Night (or is that good morning).

OK, SO I can sleep in today....

And maybe get another chance to grab another tag this weekend. I'm going to post a new location now. Some of you might like this better than waiting till I get up, late, go out and find another new location then post it at the end of the day when I get back home.

So here is your new TAG location!

Clue one: You can go by this on your way there.

Your tag is another one of these...

But you cannot drive across this one any more, they have closed it to traffic, but you can walk across if you wish.

HERE IS THE TAG: (This end of the bridge only)

NOT THIS END of the bridge.

I think you will like the road on the tag side of the bridge better anyway.

Have a nice day of hunting and riding. I will check back when I get up to see if any of you still need more of a clue for this one. But it should be easy and it should be gone before I even get up.

Now Game On!!!

Ligts Out

That's a nice one Ranger. And I see you were up for awhile getting it posted. Bratso and I were dead asleep by then. Of course, we dont have the luxury of sleeping in on Sunday Morning. Church to get ready for an all ya know.

Condolances to Notty Lady on her patty melt last night. It was certainly not the best. However my home made chips, apple pie and ice cream were great.

We had a great tiime. See you again soon. And dont forget I need those signs for the poker run.
