Wiring supplies?

Hey gang,

Is there such as thing as a small relay (smaller than the standard automotive relay) available for bike use? I see lots of small ones at RadioShack, but they're all <10amp and the only 30amp relay is "normal" size.

Also, is there an online supplier of auto or bike wiring supplies?

I'm wiring up some accessories on my Sportster (driving lights, etc) and the space available under the side-cover and seat is tight.

Eastern Beaver and West Marine are two names I prefer. I like Marine-grade wiring, because it is superior to automotive-grade.

Ancor is a great electrical supplier:

12v spst or spdt, how many amps? What are you dimensions? Mini auto bosch style is what I would be after but if you going for several accessories I would go for a spdt normal size 20a

I second the recommendation for Eastern Beaver Co, Jim's a motorcyclist and sells great m/c specific wiring kits and supplies.

SPST. (SPDT would leave me with the option of some accessories on when the bike is off, which I don't need).

It looks like between the Waytech catalog and Eastern Beaver, I should be able to get what I want.

I will likely do:
- a 40amp SPST switched from the ACC circuit, located under the bike's main fuse, under the seat
- run a power line from that up to the headlamp housing and handlebars. Split it at some point, the handlebar end would need to be fused, haven;t figured out where to put the fuse box yet (maybe some sort of enclosure strapped to the bottom of the tank?)
- install a 20 amp SPST micro-relay switched from the low-beam circuit to control the driving lamps. Locate this in the headlamp housing.

I have the lights working now, but it's an ugly implementation that wasn't well thought out (day after Christmas, threw it together with scraps from my toolbox).
