Thanks and yes, it's an '03. That's Mike's '98 behind it. I'm going through both of them. Valve adjustment to cable lubes to brake shaft cleaning and regreasing and about 150 other things. The snow up here in upstate NY is too deep to ride in so I'm playing around in my heated walkout basement. (Even the 2wd Ural would get stuck in this ice covered snow.)

starter issues

my '96 doesn't want to start with the button. kick starts easily with 1 or 2 kicks. battery is new and strong. I'd leave it alone but my wife can't kick it that easily. Is this problem usually just the solenoid? any advice on where to start (pun intended) is appreciated. my 5'2" daughter kicks it easily, so I might just let her give her mom lessons.....

So glad you like the bike! It looks great and the headlight is awesome. Traded up to a 2000 Pegaso yesterday and am already missing my TW after doing a two hour oil change. Happy it went to a great home though!

Looks like it.

Trying to list a Clarke tank and Ruckus headlights for sale there and it's timing out. (See how I snuck that in there? Clever!)

Hi Marina, Welcome to ADVRider and congratulations on the new toy. Now go bring it to Colorado. I put 70 miles on the TW the day after I bought it. Even though it ran great I've torn it down to lube everything. Almost to the bare frame. That picture is the after pic while it waits for larger pegs, filters and gaskets. Hopefully I can get it out in another week after this next snow storm passes. Thanks again for the painless deal on a nice bike.

Hand/brushguards....."bark busters".

I've been wanting to put hand/brushguards on the TW,but I've read where some folks have to..."trim the ball end off" of the levers(clutch and brake) inorder for them to work( not enough arc clearance I guess).I presume with some brands of these guards this may be true?.....any brands you do not have to do this for?. TIA

I have Zeta brush guards, they have plenty of clearance.

RMATV's house brand Tusk works fine too.

Just got my '97 fired up. Will need some carb tweaks.

Somewhere while the bike was in limbo for the last 11 months, the mirrors disappeared.

Anyone a set that will fit that they might want to part with?

Thanks
