I'm rapidly approaching 56,000 miles on my Zong's odometer.

The snow is receding up the mountains, so I decided to visit a local peak last week. Along the way I noticed I could capture 55,555.5 miles on the odometer, so I stopped to take a photograph.

This time of the year, fallen trees can block the trails until local people claim the timber for firewood. I needed to turn back and take another trail when I encountered these obstacles.

Ascending another trail, I reached the ridge line and enjoyed the views.

I'm pleased to report my Zong is running better than ever! It's a great little motorcycle.

Spud, I am typically in awe of how much you seem to enjoy a Chinese motorcycle, but now I am really blown away that it's lived that long. Your eternal optimism with the thing is almost annoying sometimes, but I think I'd be happy too if I was getting that kind of adventure out of it.

Many people say the same things about the TW200.

Those photos are amazing. Are you in the Oxford Peak region?

WTB Headlight Frame for TW200

Hello All, I crunched the headlight frame on my '91TW when the front
tire washed out on the road to the "race track" in Death Valley. Does
anyone have a lead on a good one?

Thanks.

I post it every few pages, so in keeping with tradition, if anyone has any decent plastics they'd like to sell that would fit an '01 TW, let me know!

Here is a link from a post in the tw200 forums. Someone selling a set of plastics for 50 bucks plus shipping.

Thanks a ton! Just joined up over there so I could PM him lol.

I admittedly don't know a ton about the body changes, if any. Will plastics from a 90's model fit a 2001?

They'll fit. If it's the thread I'm thinking of those are orange and blue plastics. So they will either need to be painted or consider them an "acquired taste".

Right now she's sporting some rattle can-black plastics, and I really feel bad for my wife having to ride it like that. She says she doesn't mind, but I think blue/orange would look better than it's current state haha

Thank you. My Zongshen ZS167FML engine is a faithful copy of the TW200 engine, except for a shorter countershaft. My Teikei MV28 carburetor is virtually identical to the Teikei carb for the the current TW200 bikes, except my Zong uses a single throttle cable. My Zong's air box is virtually the same as the Yamaha air box.

I like the Zong's 37mm, USD forks, which have the same travel as the TW200 forks. My Zong has a superb headlight, and I really like the kick starter backup. I installed an XT225 shock absorber with a stronger shock spring from Cogent Dynamics, so the Zong's suspension is pretty nice.

I live in East Idaho. Where are you located in the Cache Valley? Have you ridden the Highline Trail?
