Try doing some research and rather than hitting up people in a forum to do the work for you. This is clearly a thinly veiled classified post - it belongs in the marketplace, not here.

Thanks for your very useful comment ;) Did not know that asking for other's opinion was considered having them do work...

I am doing research but want to get input for other members that have a better feel for the market on these bike.

If you gave the bikes location, that would help.

I don't wish to burst your bubble but as far as the mods you have done don't think you get anywhere close to what you paid for them. You would be better to remove all the bits and sell them 2nd hand at 1/2 or less than new.

You need to do some work and look at your local market, maybe take it to a dealer and get a price, look at what's available and compare it to what you wish to sell.

Nobody will offer stock unmolested price plus $8000.

I am in the PNW and I know I am going to take a bath on this.
The closes stock Sertao I have seen for sale is in Cal for $7500 with about 10k miles. That being said, I don't expect to get my full money back, just trying to get a feel for what would be considered reasonable. $12k or $10k or ???

Fair question.

I am sort of interested myself.

Seeing how brand new is $9,000+ out the door, I would estimate that a slighlty used 2012 or 2013 ready to rock is at least that much. Could be well over $12,000.

PM, swamp.
He is located in AL. he made a Adv Ready SERTAIO, bit I think he kept the stock fuel tank.
He could give you a good estimate.

--------
If you are looking for a solid ADV touring rotopax engine, look at the TR650.
Do not forget the older Dakar MC, that have a bigger stock fuel tank.

Lastly, the KTM 690 2014, is worth looking into. Pretth much the same price, with a warrenty. If your touring is strong off rode, the MC would be solid.

Depending on the miles and wear/tear I would say no more than 7k if it's well taken care of and farkeld out. Just bought a 2013 with 500mi that had almost everything TT makes for the model for 8500 in the PNW. From past experience most of the money in accessories is lost so try and by things that can be put on other bikes.
