New Asheville Hendersonville Rider thread

Thanks to Scott at Acme for a great evening. It was great to see everyone, what an awesome turn out!

If I get a flat, it is officially Clockwatches fault. I am also still claiming ignorance. (Nice presentation Russ!)

secret sauce?

Great time for those that missed it, keep a lookout for stuff happening really helpful. The secret sauce was...well, very secret, I could tell you but would have to kill you.

ready to go ride, blow a tire out, fix it, talk some s**t, eat some hot dogs, and go back to riding...u know the usual!

thanks again russ for the lesson, scott for the place...
holla people!

Thanks Scott.

What fun. Still trying to remember names. Avocado and Crash, thanks for the heads up on Tag. I've been digging throught the entire thread.
Russ...I've got the front tire off of the wife's Honda. Something's wrong...I've used two jars of baby food and still can't get it back on.

Too bad I missed it. Thurs. are always out for me because of evening classes but I'm looking forward to meeting some more folks out on rides.

I thought Russ said it was crack spackle?

Scott, what was the head count?

I thought we were going to have maybe a dozen folks show up last night. I think we had somewhere between 25 and 30. Scott, can you post the head count? And BTW, thanks for offering the shop for this. I don't think there's another "shop" around here where we could have done something like this. ACME is definitely a different (and I mean that in a complimentary way even though it fits in all kinds of ways ) kind of shop. Where else can you go, stand around and swap stories with fellow riders like we do at ACME? Personally I like to advertise the durability of those LED lights you have on that Honda and how impervious they are to Coal Creek mud...and how important it is to wash all that mud off your bike ASAP instead of letting it set up like concrete for two weeks. Hey...maybe that's another thought for a class and you could teach that one.
Thanks to Russ for the class (which I unfortunately missed most of due to dog cooking duties) and to D.Pippin for your input too.
Seems like every time I'm involved in a group ride I meet new people and was beginning to think I had met everyone close by that rode dual sport. WRONG...it was great to meet a few more folks last night...there sure are a lot of us out there!
I hope we can meet again soon and maybe share some more riding knowledge (?) Anyone have any suggestions?
Scott, what are your plans for the e-mail list?

Yea I did not know about Scott and David and Acme until I seen it on the tag thread, so I bought my new rear from them, and will buy pretty much everything I need from now on. I would have come, but I had familial obligations.

An Asheville / Hendersonville Rider Thread, what a great idea!

Cheers,

Norm

Scott, what about another meet??

Scott, seems like there were several people that would've come had it not been for some other obligation. You think we should do another meet & greet with the tire changing class? I wonder if we gave a couple of meet time options a couple of weeks in advance we could make it easier for those folks to make next time. What do you think?
I'll buy/cook the hotdogs again but it would be nice to know how many folks will eat. That way I can have them ready when they get there, eveyone that wants to can eat, then we can do the class afterwards. Let me know.
