There is another trail up there that goes out to Buckshot lake rd, comes out just above ah.. Buckshot Lake...

I usually run this as a ice Breaker run Out to Plevnia, slab over to Ompah 20min. Back in on Hydro line rd. to Caliboogie. It takes most of the day... Ask PeteZ as this was his first ride back as an adult a couple of years ago, on the ice......

Not sure he has ever forgave me about that....

Can I put these tracks in my Zumo somehow or do i need a more offroad unit?

I've noticed the gate posts and signs. Being so visible and accessible at that point, the 4x4s have really ripped that section of trail up, leaving large boulders strewn on lots of the trail.

better make it a big chaing for the entire ditch... the XR will find a way.. BS stupid 4x4 ruining my fun will not happen.. hydro lines are not private owned.

The lines (wires) are owned by the power company and the land is usually privately owned. I recommend you do a bit of research on this before you make all of us look bad.

Indeed. As I found out 2 years ago by a landowner further North, closer to Renfrew, he said he owns about 1,800 acres of land on which the power lines are found. He leases access to the lines to Ontario Hydro. He said he personally has no problem with people riding Jeeps, ATV, bikes, snowmobiles or whatever on the property as long as they respect it. He mentioned that in his lease agreement with Hydro, he is responsible for maintaining the access roads for Ontario Hydro vehicles. If the roads get ripped up to much, he needs to spend his own cash to fix them so that the maintenance crews can access their lines. If it becomes too costly, he will put up gates.

Hosebag and I went riding yesterday. He isn't quite finished with his winter upgrades, so he took my DR and I rode the WR with street rubber. Better traction than I would have thought, but knobbies are way better.

so you agree.. the lines are not privatly owned?

Its ok.. i always bring a saw for wood signs and bolt cutters for the locks.

Have you looked at your dam HYDRO bill latley. I think half of it is for line maintaince. I pay it... and i make sure the hydro bums dont have to charge time when they go with there trucks and get stopped by the gates... leading to increase of my monthly bills..

makes perfect sense to me. and i do all my "line" maintanence on my bike.

Exacltly... i knew you that you maintain the lines just like me...

I think we need the ATV's and Full size mud digging trucks out and start an association something like the www.ovatvc.com but for road legal insured bikes only.

trail passes with stickers, and a motocycle with valid insurance. .
