But more snow and ice that I thought. Something about riding your bike threw 6-12 inches of snow when it's almost 30 degrees on the second of April just makes me smile.
Good ride for sure, I'll throw some pics up in a couple of days, a couple of good ones in there.

I was out today with the whole family on our trail bikes and went for a leisurely ride up the K/P. A little wet and stilll some ice in spots but not bad. Saw one fellow on a green KLR.

Gidday Rob, what did you replace the xr with?
A little bit of ice? We came off of triple tower hyrdo line and went north on the k and p to flower station and it was 50 percent ice.

Lots of photo's

Old bush roads out of Carelton Place

Passing Almonte on some old tracks

Off to the good stuff

Got slick and a bit snowy in the shade the further north you go

Onto the hydro lines between California Rd and Highway 511. Very fun, still a bit wet (aka slick in spots)

I gotta mention kudo's to Chris, just bought the 800, first time off roading......jumping in at the deep end .......

For the most part this hydro line is in good shape.

Saw a bunch of these, looked they were having fun.

Got off the hydro lines on one of the bisecting trails and headed to Little Green Road.

Had to be careful how fast you go. Conditions will be perfect then you come around a corner.....things like this surprise downhill...

For the most part it was in good shape, a few sections like this but then it would dry up again.

Triple Tower Hydro line was in great shape. I thought we would have gotten turned around due to deep water but it is at mid summer levels. A few fun uphills with water coming down the trail, kind of like riding up rivers

A bit slicker in the middle than expected.....tiiipppppp

\

Got on the K and P Trail for a dozen kilometers but bailed as it turned to.

Turned off out to Flower Station. What a great first day. 29 in the shade...2nd of April

Just realized that when you YOW guys talk about California road, it's not the fun twisty gravel road down here, but a trail up towards Arnprior.
