Happy exploring, remember to walk water crossings before riding them, even more so with a bike with a low air intake

PS....that trail is on the RR in June

shhhhh.... yer spoiling all the fun.

I wonder how the beaver dam(n) is doing this year?

I was wondering if anyone here has done what they call the "DualSport Dragon?" I am heading to North Carolina for a rally in early May and will most likely head over to these trails. I have ridden the Dragon on the Ural and did some dirt in the area, just curious about these trails.

Great map, it would be a blast to take a week trip and ride the paved and unpaved roads around there ... I've ridden quite a few of the paved ones but wasn't into gravel much back then. I do remember a road by Daniel Boone's cabin that was nice.

What's the rally in North Carolina you're going to? If it's the BRPR organized by i-bmw.com, I'll be there too.

It is a rally a couple Ural owners started a few years ago called C.R.A.P (Carolina Rally And Picnic), and it got quite large. It isn't Ural specific, as a few DS bikes attend, just more of us than any other bike. You might see some Urals at BRPR though.

The DualSport Dragon is about 5 hours from the rally site, so we are planning on heading there on Sunday, possibly staying at the Ironhorse ....an awesome place to stay if you are in the area.

Just in GTC, smoking deal:

System V helmet, size 49 (pinhead size), marked down from 899 to 99. No shit. Kinda hidden with a stack of Zeus helmets in the center, facing the race stands. Grey.

Grab it if you can.

Did that and a LOT more back in May. Was raining like a bastard, rivers running down the trails. Went from Tellico to Franklin, mostly dirt. Couple of gsa's. an 800, a wee, and a Stelvio.

Fun.

Can you recommend any better maps of the area?

Mine the carolina riders thread for intel.

I'm on gps, use old metroguide and roads&rec map sets from garmin. I might (big big if) have downloaded the track. If I did, I'll upload it here.
