Lol. While my spelling is not all that great at the best of times, in this case I'll blame Swype....:o

Oh, and " Jimmy did it first!" :p

Made it home safe n sound. "BORDER" was eazy peazy Had one flight cancelled that extended my trip, but I highly recommend doing a fly and ride bike purchase. It was a mini adventure, just need a good attitude and some patience. I was able to have a 600km get acquainted ride home!

Monday evening:
Flight delayed at YOW...time for two Beers and a poutine!

My plane awaits!

I was not so fortunate with the connecting flight in Newark. It was suppose to take off at 8;00pm...they kept me at the airport till 11:00pm when they decided to cancel it!!! This is where the plane is SUPPOSED to be.

Upside was they put me up in a swanky hotel and gave me a bunch of meal vouchers too. I was rebooked on a flight the next morning. Ahhhhh King bed!

Tuesday Morning:
The eggs benny for Breakfast was so-so. Hollandaise had split and the poached eggs were over cooked.

This time my flight was on time and the PO met me at the airport and I finally got the bike around 2:00pm.

Rode for a few hours and stopped in Syracuse since the export office at the "BORDER" closes at 4:00pm, and got a room downtown near a bunch of restaurants where I could get the appropriate liquids and sustenance.

Couple of pints of Sam Adams Boston Lager...

And some of the best fish and chips I've ever had!

Another couple of hours to the "BORDER".

Quick zip up the 416 and we were home safe N sound!

I waited a long time to point that one out, but I was worried we'd end up with a lost generation that didn't know the difference. :)

So call me a 'Grammar Nazi' if thou must.

It's a small price to pay.

Good looking bike there, Jimmy. Watch you don't knock any pedestrians over with the wide load, though!

You could fill those boxes with balloons for those tricky water crossings and just float across!

A couple of years ago I helped a friend bring a TR8 from Maryland (I had the tow vehicle), but before he got across the border, he made sure they (US Customs) had all the paper work 3 days in advance.

Did you do the same thing? Did you have a temp plate, insurance etc? Just curious how you were able to do this.

Thx!

Original title to the border 72 hours ahead of time, rode with the sellers plates since it still registered under them, and got temp insurance from my company.

Gotcha.

That is pretty trusting of them. Not many would do that.

I've got a set of YZ450 forks with upper triple clamp and white fork protectors for sale.

Shipping is a lot so I thought I'd see if someone here is thinking about upgrading their front end.

Prices on ebay range from $150 without the triple and protectors to well over $500

I seal is leaking so doing the pair along with new oil is a good idea. $15 on the bay for a set.

How about $200
