Bobber , that is the way I do it too.

MotoX, absolutely. At that point I have told someone to walk. If you agree, then your word is your bond. When I sold my KLR, one of the low bidders realized the deal I had, and when he offered MORE than what I asked, I said no, I struck a deal for less earlier.

Drif....for sure. You have more patience than I. Negotiations shouldn't take that long and the guy was not serious at all.

I am heading to QC to check out an awesome deal on a K1100. The seller TXT me back immediately, and answered all my questions. If I buy the bike, he will get asking.

I think some people are just brain-dead. Earlier this week I sent an email to a guy asking if the bike he had listed was still available, and he replied with "It is". Nothing more.

So I reply with "When and where can I see it?" and haven't heard a thing back in four days. Good thing too, because I talked myself out of it with his help.

Could be a BMA member though there's nothing on their forum.

Anyway, news doesn't get any worse than that.

Amen to that.
My thoughts with whomever they are, and their families.

But dont let the risk over power the fun....

Hey Guys.

What are your experiences with OGT (Ottawa Good Time), as far as the sales department go? I think I have decided on a 2013-2014 Tiger 800 XC, but are they the best place to buy new from (obviously only Triumph dealer in Ottawa), or should I look to QC or the GTA?

A buddy told me he went to Laval just because OGT wouldn't match their price. This was on a new 2008 KLR.

I've bought several new bikes there. Sales are fine. I prefer to support local shops.

I have never had luck with them.

I bought my BMW in Montreal instead of OGTC.

I agree with Dresda - They are fine with straight up sales. I bought 2 bikes there. Yes I could have gone to Montreal but it wasn't worth it to me. OGTC was fine for the sales part. As long as you know what you want.

After sales... thats a whole other ball game. There are good stories and Horror stories... depends what you do what kind of service you need and who you deal with at the counter.

A buddy bought one from a Vermont dealer this spring and loves the bike. Import process is fairly simple and Triumph warranty is sill good in Canada. Canadian price is $14000, Vermont price is &11000. He spent the savings on farkles.
