Had to see someone near Westport today so we managed a great 200 km ride.

Got out for another ride today. Did all our favourites, in case this was the last ride of the year.

Got to cottage roads near Westport, Narrows Lock road, Canoe Lake road, Desert Lake road, Battersea road (a bit disappointing) and Burnt Hills road, and a whole lot of others. Did about 310 km, and got home the minute the sun went down according to the gps.

Had a great ride today, thanks to Ted and Sean! They took me down some trails I have never been down before. I also discovered the K37 Scouts are not that good in slick mud and double track doesn't mean you ride it sideways!!

Thanks again guys!

No problem , it was fun.... the scouts are probably good for some slab and gravel roads but trails that could be wet, slick. knoobies are the way to go.. but still no guaranty some guy won't go... "psst the trail is this way"

He was just "exploring" what was in the bush on the side of the trails

Fingers crossed we get another weekend before old man winter sets in...

I have no idea where you live, Bob. Not the same place Richard and I dropped into at a lake, is it?

ok what to do.. I have a zumo 550 with tunes and topo maps installed mounted on the bike. but the mount is broken and the next time I have to connect it to my computer.. The gps will not be able to be remounted.. I rigged it on the trail with tie wraps and glue to work for me one of the last times out.. hey it might last years like this but don't take it off...

so do I?

buy a new mount 100 bones
sell it as is
buy a new mount and sell it
just keep it... live with it, put it on the other bike and wait till the gps falls off

what's it worth, fixed or not fixed... there is some tree sap on the screen which I live with thinking I'll mess up the screen worse if I try to clean it..

If it still works, eBay it.

And we have something which will remove the gum safely. Denatured Alcohol.
