Thanx Andy. Have you got a Linky or part number? Also what sort of a power gain did you get from the different snorkel? I'm happy with the power but It feels a bit restricted at lower revs (under about 5000rpm, that's with the baffle in the Wings can)

I'm running the Rally Raid foam filter conversion kit. Nothing to compare it to other than ease of maintenance.
Man! The induction noise is ridiculous!!! I really need to get to fitting the WINGS slip on I have planned. If I close my eyes and crack the throtte at the moment, you'd swear you were sitting on the thing backwards!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Troy.

Mines the FMF Apex and its faaaarking loud, I hope I don't get booked on the way to the Team Moto Adventure Night on Thursday as that is Aspley hoon night so the feds will be out.
Ref the Evo Airbox lid, I don't know how much difference it makes as I ran it from new with the FMF pipe and Akro remap but the bike runs sweet as and there isn't any annoying induction noise. Price in Oz was reasonable I was surprised only about $30 I think, Ktm shops know what it is. Andy

I fitted the M12 to my DRZ and like you, had to drop the pressure on the front to get any decent grip on the front, tha rear was great. What I found though was the more the front knobs wore down the better it gripped to the point where even when though the knobs were worn and rounded and looking pretty ordinary I wasn't keen on replacing it and kept it as long as I could until a particularly wet weekend ride where I decided something a bit chunkier would be needed.

It's only loud when I open it up or engine brake. Idling at traffic lights and cruising along at a fixed speed it's fairly quiet. As long as I combine engine braking with a bit of rear brake lever, and avoid accelerating too hard, it's fine around town. But where's the fun in that? When I'm riding trails though... it's perfect.
