Top Gear Goes To Vietnam

Ran across this the other day. I enjoy watching Top Gear from time to time, a show that mainly focuses on cars. The "blokes" are given about $1000 US to buy a vehicle to get from the South to the North. . . mayhem ensues. Hilarious. Enjoy!

Top Gear Vietnam Special - Part 1

Part 2:

Top Gear Vietnam Special - Part 2

I just watched both parts and I could not stop laughing. I love Top Gear and was surprised when this one turned out to be about motorbikes/scoots. Those guys crack me up - thanks for posting this thread!

My favorite parts are:
1) when they paint the Minsk neon pink and

2) they have to turn their bikes into boats to get to the final destination! Haha!! They are crazy!!!

This sort of stuff strikes me as contrived. The producers think it up and provide a team of people to assist them in doing the conversions. It's interesting but seems totally disingenuous to portray it as part of a spontaneous adventure. Way too scripted.

I prefer the goofiness of each buying the other silly gifts that require then to strap concrete statues and 6' long clipper ship models to the bikes - that's a little more believable and off the cuff.

Regardless, very entertaining.

Great series, Watched them all on my iPod recently.
I downloaded all the episodes from YouTube before they got erased.

Nice to see them do a series on scooters and bikes for a change.

I think its time for someone to make a top gear two wheels version. If I had any producer friends I would get that rolling, imagine the bikes you could test and showcase, the trips you could take and document...imagine all the fyyff's that would watch.

We watched part one and I laughed so hard I had tears running down my cheeks. We're going to watch pt 2 tonight.

I swear, that's one of the funniest things I've EVER seen.

And I loved the part where they stopped at that overlook and were stunned by the beauty.

And the part where Clarkson started enjoying himself.

and the pink bike

and....I could go on and on...

Welp that is one of the funniest things ive seen in a long time.

I especially like when he spends several hours fixing the masts on his little model boat, then picks it up and inadvertantly sticks them in a ceiling fan. Like something that would happen to me.

yeah that was good...

the painting didn't fare too well, either

"darcy's head has fallen off again"

and I'd pay good money for one of those tin helmets.
