If you mean the weekend after this coming one, I might take you up on it. I need -one- take it easy weekend. Sean and I were talking to Raven about a nice beginner ride Sunday afternoon. We'll see how her idea of new rider appropriate varies from yours...and if she tries to kill us, we can give you both hell.

Yea, that would be the weekend of the 10th/11th. Marisa will be out of town, so I have to entertain myself that weekend. May as well go on a ride . . .

Actually, I might do that same thing Sunday, if it doesn't rain to hard.

That might be fun. I'm still looking for a Sunday ride.

I'm looking to give my freshly out of the shop '02 BRP a good test ride. She's for sale, BTW (Thomas has first shot).

Not yet!

And before Cathy says anything, yeah, I know I need to use the sides of the tire more.

This morning started very Chilly-Willy-Milli-Vanilli, so Ron sez to me, hey, Dave, wanna go car shopping instead?

So I sez, hell yeah! I'm cold and wet. So we headed to Nogales for some really cheap deals. We were told by Mr. R. McDonald to head out and meet these 'dudes' on a little known rocky road called 143.

So we backtracked a bit and picked up ole 143 then quickly ran into a small water crossing in soft sand. My pig sank immediately, and iffin' I'd had them DeWalt cases (which can also be used as flotation devices and toasters) We woudn't have spent 3 hours digging my pig outta that quick sand. not really. So this is Ron showing me his bike just 'floats like a butterfly' or a bee or something, dammit.

So we gets to the coordinates where the 'dude' told us there'd be a sweet deal awaiting and.....whattaya think we found? Yepper, a late model in near perfect shape! That's Ron checkin' out the new speaker system, which blew out the glass as he cranked it!

mmmmm nice ride, we're gonna be cruzin' Speedway in this baby with my new retro-Mr. Microphone!

I like the feel of the laminated velvet steering wheel:

mmmm nice truck, ceppin', not far up the road what does Ron spot? You Guessed it. A near mint condition 1978 Vega. I think. He immediately claimed it as his:

I like the colors, kinda 'Fallish':

...so instantly Ron is on the phone with Allstate adding this baby to his stable of cruisers. This one gets front and center in the garage!

and I lucked out, too! Right beside Ron's new Creme Puff, I scored me a sweet Honda, check out the recent engine mods this baby's gotten! This thing is so Green, it doesn't even need a carb! All for one lowwwww price!

Well we were tired of bouncing our bikes off them big-ass boulders on that infamous road 143 so we stopped for a quick rest before flying up I-19 for the grand finale. I put a few chunks of coal in Ron's luggage whilst he wasn't lookin'. :)

Ron, thanks for a great time and I never thought I would have had so much fun shopping for a new ride! - Dave, the bum.
Bill, we spotted a car for you, too!
