Yz

Are you guys willing to put up with a slow running YZ? It doesn't really go over 45 for very long...

Still might just ride the GS though, it gets through town quicker

I'm going to be on a KLR and Allen on an xr650R with street tires, so you definitely wont be the slowest

I'll be on an NX250.

So does Wednesday @ 9 @ Frank's work or would earlier or later be better?

Wednesday Ride

Sounds cool to me.

I can't hook up for breakfast, but can certainly meet up with you folks at the TV Circle K, Redington staging area, or wherever.

I'll keep an eye out for meeting times and adjust accordingly.

Of course the TV Circle K depends on if the plan is to go up the back and down the front, up the front and down the back, or up the back and down the back....

Bro

I might have my bro along for this ride! Looking forward to a ride either way.

This will be his second time on dirt with me and the first time on a big dirtbike (my YZ probably).

Unless someone has a smaller bike they would like to loan out or I buy another bike tomorrow. How picky are the cops on 'street legal' around here anyway?

Can you bump it to 8 or 8:30? Then I can at least have breakfast with you all before I have to run off to class and miss the fun part.

Any time for the ride wednesday is good for me. I've never gone up or down the backside so either is good for me. If there are any large climbs then going down may be better as I doubt I will have any traction. On the other hand trying to do hillclimbs with a running start and my crap tires may be fun.

I've been spoken to twice by the local leos (in one day!) but mostly they just seem to ignore me as long as I'm not speeding or doing anything stupid. My bike only has mirrors, a small bicycle bell, and small head/tail lights. By the way if street legal is a big issue I'm not completely allergic to driving my truck and carrying a bike or two.

What do you need to do? If it is just a matter of not having the ability(or tools) I would be more than happy to help with it. I have a lot of time on my hands if you want someone to help you through something.

Sure, why not?

So, Wednesday @ 8 @ Frank's

No large hillclimbs up or down the backside of Lemmon - it's pretty much a "grandma's buick" type of dirt road.

Unless a truck makes you run off the side. My street tires let me slide back down the hill before they got enough traction to get me going back up the hill.

Battlewings, if I make it, you will make it (and I make it all the time).
