I got my money's worth, for sure: Tool Holding water carrying snake storing potato-cannon grenade launching tubes. RAWK.

Likely NOT going to be able to make Sunday (wife's class doesn't get over until 1000, etc etc) but Sweeny just held forth about a Patagonia loop on Saturday so y'all have fun!

Nimbus was great. Nice to see so many fine rides and meet some interesting folks. Only one curb jumper, though.

I KNOW there were photo takers there, so where's the proof that a bunch of fine DS's showed up, swapped lies and kicked tires????

So, nothing to do with riding, but there's a pretty sweet airshow comin up this week. I'm sure you've heard the jets buzzing around town. Next week is heritage week, so there will be a bunch of old war-birds and more modern stuff flying around. Just a heads up.

Not sure when, but sometime this year is the bi-annual ACC airshow, which my squadron will be taking part in (c-130-helicopter air refuel pass). I'm not sure how one gets in from the outside to see it, but you all should, if you're in town.

Yeah, I'm promoting the AF show-off-athon.

Formation

While on a mtb ride this morning I saw the 3 flying in formation.
So...is the airshow this weekend?

Enjoyed the Nimbus gathering.

Seeing Low Down's Husky 610 has me itchin for one or a KTM 690.

Beers were good too...had to run early though.

I think they are just practicing, but I could be wrong. The F-22 doing aerial donuts over my dorm building woke me up.

so 'Dirt: by ACC do you mean just military peeps get to see the show or is DM hosting a public gig this year?

I looked around for a skedge awhile back and was greeted with fail.

It's Heritage Flight:

Heritage Flight Story

An excuse for old guys that own vintage warbirds to come and hang out with young guys that fly the latest and greatest...

Finishes up tomorrow (Sunday) in the afternoon. It's like a really slow moving airshow. The modern aircraft will do a quick demo after take-off prior to departing to join up with the vintage aircraft for formation passes.

EDIT: I'm not sure if you go to the visitors center at the Craycroft gate whether they'll give you a pass or not.

I don't know about getting in to see it, but its the ACC airshow as in only ACC planes are in it, no AFSOC or AMC or other such things. Or so they say. Its supposed to show off ACCs combat prowess...or something.

Heritiage week

It is not an airshow, just heritage week.
Translation: If you don't already have base access, you aren't getting in.

Back to topic! I am getting ready to head out to Tanque Verde Circle K and hope to see more than 4 of you guys by 10!

It occured to me

That we should be posting links to ride reports and plans so that the BB doesn't get to cluttered (you know, like it said in the OP). I started a report (sort of) so we can post pictures for the community.
I figure we should get a few nice pictures, I know some nice ones were taken (I have some but they are on Mental Cam).

The heritage flight was sunday, and all the planes are leaving. The Airshow I was referring to is LATER, but soonish, I think. I'll find details at work if I can.

Onto the riding topic, I'm looking at Arivaca road to kitt peak sometime this month, paved of course, if anyone wants to tag along.

I work on Kitt, so if anyone wants a tour (but only if its a Friday or Saturday, since The Boss lurks on other days).

And keep us posted on DM airshows! I love going and (up to now) was disheartened to not see DM on any of the schedules.
