That IS lucky. Specific trailer tires are hard to come by. Sounds like you're having an adventure on the way home...

Hey Tucson riders, looking for some advice here. We are planning a little weekend getaway this coming Thurs-Sunday from Phoenix...hoping to make it down to your meet-n-greet in time on Thursday. Our plans include spending the night in Tuscon Thursday night and then heading down to the Kartchner Caverns and Tombstone Friday to catch the courthouse before it closes at the end of the month. I'd also like to try and make it down to Bisbee before heading back north again.

We are both pretty new riders but would like to take some smaller highways and easy dirt roads on this trip as much as possible. By easy I mean well maintained graded dirt. We are already planning Florence-Kelvin down to Oracle, but after that I'm clueless. Anyone have any good route suggestions here for these areas?

Then I turned the petcock on!

I'm basically back to a 1-kick bike and I'm no closer to figgering out WTF went on this AM other than the cosmos didn't want me riding.

Eh it could have just been cold/hot for the jetting or crap stuck in the jet, or flooded or any number of random things. It happens.

I'd check over all the wiring and grounds though to make sure it wasn't a loose plug/cable/connector/junction/strap.

Edit: You know I just read back through it again and it sounds like your decomp cable was sticking. When you took the tank off I bet you knocked it loose. I'd check both ends for fraying, lube that sucker and run it.

Thursday is better for me. I can truck down to your area. Anything good (not too difficult) in the Chiricahuas?
It all depends on my production today and tomarrow, Thursday would be the best day for a ride if I can sneak one in.

I can't offer much help on the route, but I was cleaning again, and I have a Touratech tank bag that will goes nicely with the LED turn signals on that Dakar . . . same price too. It's a bit faded, but if Joshua is into tank bags . . .

I probably won't be at happy hour though, so we'd have to work out when/where to get it to you.

Yes some GPS dual again will be good. I can't this week though. I'll PM you when the next opportunity arises for me.

Thanks Brian. Luckily I've found someone at homebase (EXPO) willing to help me with some routing. Seems my message has not gotten through here.

I will let Josh know about the tank bag, but he already has a Wolfman on there so its probably safe to pass it on to someone else.

Sorry we will miss you at happyhour....we may be missing it too.

Its all good KIC, thanks for the help. I've gotten more info from another member than I could possibly digest in one day so hopefully with that I can get a route for us figured out!

Hope to see you all at happy hour.

Baskerville to Willow Springs to Hwy77.

East on Hwy77 in to Oracle. Right on American Ave and through town.

To Mt Lemmon Hwy to Webb Rd. Webb Rd to San Manuel to San Pedro River Rd.

South on San Pedro River Rd to Redington Rd. West on Redington into Tucson.

I'll look and see if I have tracks for you.

Thank you for the info, but I actually already have that route figured out! Sorry for any confusion. I'm looking for additional info for areas SOUTH of Tucson!

Ok specifically: Any good dirt roads, nothing crazy to connect Green Valley with Patagonia? Or are we stuck to the highway?
