Yesterday

The bike and I were a bit nervous about this section:

So, as this picture shows it is hard to get up a soft hill from a dead stop. Should have made sure I had first gear before the climb started...

Dave has time to snap pictures when he rides with me...

Another dead end

Tried again to make it across the Tortolita's. Came in from the Catalina side on Edwin Road to Cochise Springs road. Nice traveling for the first six miles or so, then it gets pretty rough. I hit a locked gate at 3231'42.76"N 111 4'3.38"W. Sucked. Had to backtrack my way out of there. Tried a couple of side trails, but most dead ended or got to nasty for me.

this is a good idea, didn't even think of the 15 wt oil for him

I would love some intimators for my bike but $$$$$$

I'm pretty happy with the progressives, but i only weigh 150

New oil would help, you might try a little air in the forks--not much, but a few pounds might help, too.

Puke Well it finally happened!

And ya'll know it will, I went down in the rocks! Rt blinker gone, rt crash bars no longer clean and dentless, rt side Jessy bag - no longer pretty and shinny. Just when you think you're 10 ft tall and bullet proof.....

But, to bring it back to shape, just needs some cleaning and a rt frt blinker. Is that an on-line item or should I make a trip into Tucson and face the music!!!??? (I could always say it fell over in the garage I spoze :))

Introduce yourself? Whatcha riding, are you in Tucson? Etc.

Unless you are strongly committed to keeping your bike OEM/stock, you can pretty much get the stuff you need at places Cycle Gear (Grant & Stone, Tucson.) & the like.
I'm not particularly partial to Cycle Gear, they just come to mind for turnsignals.

Just before you came on, I posted that (Prudence & 22nd, Tucson and other locations in the area) is doing "meet or beat" price matching to online vendors like Bike Bandit, Cheapcycleparts, etc. Do a print out of the final price including shipping and take it with you. The price you bring is the price you pay (and maybe a little less)--they don't add sales tax to the price match. I'm critical of these 'superstore' cycle conglomerates, but this policy and the quicker response time on orders makes dealing with them attractive.

I think they only shared it with you, I can't figure out how to bring up the video otherwise...

I presume it is for your KLR? I believe the KLR approved method is duct tape and a yellow bulb.

I believe a few of the guys here have mentioned going to shorter signal stalks (so I would guess they like aftermarket signals) to prevent breakage when their bike takes a nap.

One part was, the other was a route from Oracle through the back way to Charleaux Gap, but instead of going down the main creek we went up a tributary a few miles then climbed out and up I am guessing almost 2 miles from the creek bed up two really steep climbs. At the top you go through a gate and hit a single track that takes you down to the YMCA camp off Mt Lemmon road.
