Ah, but will you be ready for next weekend when you and I do rug road (and maybe some more people)?

I decided this weekend will be poker run weekend and I will ride with noobs. I want to do rug road again and I am open to suggestions for next weekend. Camp and two days or one hard day? I think that I will be fine for one hard day now that I know what to expect (fool me once, blah, blah, blah).

I even would consider the easy way in, camp, and the hard way out.
I might bring a noob of my own, I will be harrassing people for the next week to find out.

Towards that end, I have a few bikes for sale to make my life less complicated while I am in Korea. Tell your friends, GS, YZF, XR, and now, GL1000.

I posit that my (and more so with some others) rides are sufficient for 'extreme' qualifications. Come ride rug road (next weekend, I hope) with us and see.

I've ridden around there a few times and was just there last week. The Tiger Mine Rd is a good starting place, just north of Oracle. Miles and miles of washes and pipeline roads that go from Mammoth west to Willow Springs road. I forgot my GPS, so I don't have a track. I may have one on another computer. I'll see what I can find. Here is a picture of the trestle just west of Mammoth.

Yeah, I'm not up for RG tonight. This week of school killed me. I'm going to go home and drink myself to sleep...

Cathy and I have a friend in town and we might stop by the Garter tonight if anyone else is interested.

Grizzzly (Chris) was in town last weekend to buy a WR450. We got out to Reddington and did about 55 miles up there.

Single track west of road

Wild flowers coming out

Chimney Rock springs were flowing

We did the Chimney Rock loop and then single track on the east side of the road back to Chiva.

Water was running everywhere

We took the loop around the falls to the east, past ankle break hill and came into Chiva from the south. There was a drop that I'd love to see someone try to climb. It was hairy coming down, I know it'd be a handful going up.

New Mexico ride

Cathy and I have a friend in town and we're going for a ride tomorrow. Leaving our place around 9ish and going I10 to Safford then over Mule Creek Pass and up to Glennwood. Probably go to the ghost town north of Glennwood then back to Tucson. About a 6 to 7 hour ride. Anyone interested PM me and I'll send directions to our house. Skip

yesterday evening i went for a little run down arivaca road. saw a sign for arivaca lake and figured why not. about 2.5 miles of dirt/gravel at the end so i took a picture. i felt like a lunatic riding the gixxer in the dirt. even the cows looked at me like i had lost my mind.
