Pringle, it would have been just TO DAMN easy to have bought a nice bike from a local guy My wife does these personality tests, where, ultimately you fit into one of 9 types...Thomas is definitely a "Flaming 4"...always has to make a drama of things.

In all seriousness Thomas, it was nice of you to call me today to let me know...you didn't owe me that. I am pretty sure it will sell quickly.

He did get a hellacious price on it...maybe he is considering it "disposable".

great, he's gonna buy a bike that comes with its very own bag full of excuses as far as why he won't ride a certain area or section of a trail...

i rode the KLR to work last night... after chasing Phil on the DRZ the KLR feels like a damn cruiser

Fly,and rent a fast truck.

Then swing by here and you can do your first trail ride on something like this! ( 9 minutes from my garage )

Not my story - have close to 11,000 miles on my Husky TE610 - parts are easier than my old Suzy - 2 to 3 week turn around from Ridenow for the Suzy - and talk about over priced!

For the Husky I get factory parts from Dan at Motoexotica in 3 days UPS. Some are really cheap others expensive - learn to not trust local dealers on parts.

There are 6840 posts now on the Tucson thread...I just realized 2307 were spent helping BB ultimately choose a KLX 400 and 2570 were spent listening to Thomas externalize his choice in bikes...and even with the 1265 threads spent trying to convince him of one bike or another...he didn't take anyone's advice.

Not a problem, I feel that I owed it to you so I did it.
I was thinking about doing the ride with you, figuring out if either of your bikes didn't scare me too bad, buy it and if things didn't work out in the first month or two, sell it and keep searching. Woulda pissed off the wife but I do that every month or so.

And yes USAFRIC, those pics came from the CL ad... It should be down soon.

Mtndawg, I wish I could, maybe I can make a trip up there ~September, is that too late for riding up there?

Oh, and PC, I never say no, I just say 'awww sh!t, I'm in over my head!'
So far, I don't remember anything I haven't done that I was pointed at. I needed just a little coaxing a time or two but I did it. There is something on Chiva that I haven't seen yet that might make me stop and supposedly on Charouleau Gap, but no one has actually taken me and said go...
I will be taking some familiarity rides though, if it is like that other Husky I rode, I am going to need it!

Only bad thing, I am off by one year to get the FI. I will have to make sure the jetting is good.

Thanks but I actually have one. I can also just throw it in the back of my truck (I like that better than the trailer when it is one bike).

Ironically, it probably wouldn't take any longer on the bike since the truck is so ridiculously slow with a trailer (and just silly slow without) and I would have to ride up there with the truck. I am going to work on routing over the next day or two.

The wife said you guys didn't stand a chance over my superior ability to ignore good advice, err, make my own decisions!
Besides, I met you guys almost halfway, it's a 300!! OK, I'm 50cc's short...
I can gear it to do ~85 but I doubt I would be happy with first. I will just keep dealing with the lack of top end and try to improve my clutch skills (create them, whatever).
