Use the imagehost at myfiero.com. It always works--image limit is 100kb.

NO WAY! I will say that the S3 is getting a lot of attention though... my car has just been sittin' around collecting dust.

Sun - Santa Ritas

I'm going to play in the Santa Ritas tomorrow, nothing difficult, and try to ease back into time on the pegs. Anyone wanting to tag along would be welcome.

i'm going to try to do valves on my KLR this week, assuming I need to adjust them, is there anyplace that may actually have the shims in stock, so I don't have to tear apart my engine twice?

Frank at ZMW has some that he'll trade you.

Besides that, CSA gave me one, but they seemed sketchy as to if they would do it all the time.

Ridenow doesn't even know what shims are

Ironhorse has a great collection of shims. I have a couple 2.50 shims from them in my parts box, they were $4 each, maybe less ($3.20?) Go see them, they'll have just what you need. If you need some tomorrow (the M/C day of rest) let me know.

Yeah, Ridenow doesn't carry anything for KLR's, they are pretty worthless.

I don't really hate Ridenow, they are what they are.

They had an oil filter for mine, I think it was $8 or about 2 1/2 times the price of a Hifiltro aftermarket one. I've ordered parts thru them, for the DR650, they have a meet or beat price match now--which helps. I forget what it was I got, but they beat the oem part plus shipping price of Cheapcycleparts by about $.50. And got me my part a full week faster.

The other place to get KLR parts, tho, is Schnitz. On small, light orders call in the order--their online order system ships everything UPS and the minimum shipping is about $10--kinda spendy for a gasket, jets, etc.

Ironhorse, btw, will do price matches on tires & accessories (luggage, clothes, helmets) too. I liked it in there, you can watch the service dept work & the day I was there, the parts guys weren't busy and took time to bs a little.

CSA has the KLR oil filter for under $3.00. SlimeNow worked on the Suzi 500 in my garage and left bolts loose, kinked a breather line and just generally screwed the bike up so much that it is now in litigation.

My experience with them made believe they were incompetent at best and criminal at worst.

Sounds like You Can't Get No Satisfaction. You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling. & you're left to wondering Baby, baby, Where Did Our Love Go?

Sorry, I've been listening to the 60's channel on XM a lot lately. Seems almost appropriate music for working on my escape vehicle, an ancient and somewhat decrepit motor home.

Why was the devil's spawn working on your Suzi 500 in your garage?

Maybe it's the heat.
