I've heard that the new KLR's are also having doohickey issues and it's worth changing it out. You should see about signing in over at the KLR forum (www.klrforum.com) for more info.

It has a lot of farkles, he said he might keep some but didn't say which ones. I'll find out. I will call him again today or tomorrow and see how he is doing and a price. Also, if you want to read up on the KLR650, here are a few links to the KLR650 forum. The Tech Day is in Casa Grande this Saturday. There is a thread on the KLR Southwest: http://www.klr650.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=44 Tech Day thread: http://www.klr650.net/forums/showthread.php?t=67533 KLR650 main: http://www.klr650.net/forums/index.php I'll be driving up with my KLR650, YZ250 and maybe one of my TW200's early Saturday.

Well when he figures out what he's doing with his bike, please have him email me. zimfusion (at) hotmail (dot) com. Sorry to hear he is forced to sell his bike and having surgery and all that. But tell him I would give it a good home at least. |

There is a KLR for sale on the SEATRIDER.org for sale section. It's a local bike in nice shape.

I'll be there, on the yellow GS.
Dave may show up on the dark gray GS...haven't heard anything from him in a day or two....so I guess we'll find out in the morning.

Sheesh. Buying a new bike can be such a process. I knew what I wanted and I wanted it now...then I started asking people for advice. People love to give advice...and on topics like motorcycles many people have very strong opinions. Strong, contradicting options it seems. I ended up really confused and stressed out about the whole thing.
Then I remembered that -duh- the whole reason I want a motorcycle is because riding is fun and de-stressifying and -duh- that's why I have a scooter! So I went for a ride up Mt Lemmon with some friends and I'm feeling much better now. Ya know, downhill she's as fast as a motorcycle! ![]() My new plan is to be more patient and wait until I see the right bike for my budget to appear on craigslist. Then go with my gut instinct and ignore everyone else.
