FYI, it only takes 7 pounds of pressure to break a collar bone. It is usually caused by the bottom edge of the helmet getting forced into it when your head hits the ground.

Heal up quick everyone, there is so much riding to do and so little time.

Trails under your nose Tucson...........

Working in Tucson again this week, I knew I would need a mid week pressure release ride. After my 8, I rolled out East. I was curious to see if a few old jeep trails were still open.

So far so good.

I continued on down the old jeep road.

This out and back has always been a fun alternative to the Chiva road.

Cathedral peak dominating the front range of the Santa Catalinas.

The east side of the valley.

Tanque Verde ridge.

A spur ridge off of the main route that reminded me of Sundays ride on the Rug.

This hill was a little nasty.

Very few treads in the Redington area are used so little!

In just under two hours I had what I needed in order to deal with the city the rest of the week!

Back in Cochise county now, I'll be able to ride a couple times this week after work.

Phil's GS ride

A big thanks to Phil for leading a great GS ride today. Fantastic views near the border (6K ft) on the mountain passes. Thanks Phil,

john
