We rode out there last year. I think there is more or less direct ways to get there depending on if you want to ride just dirt roads to get there. 6 hours would not have been enough time the way we took. You might PM MntDawg...he knows all things in that area.

6 hours should be doable - you will have to set a fast pace though.

We started to Jackson's Cabin from Benson at 8am. out of 5 bikes 3 of us made it all the way To JAckson's Cabin. Got back to Benson around 4ish. Pretty fast pace, but had 2 bikes break down. It is still getting dark early, so make sure you have enough time to get back out of there.

Done, I wish some of you would have thought about this before attacking the other thread. Very disappointing, I really thought this place was about the community as a whole.

Really sorry to see it unstuck. There just aren't enough posts to keep it from getting lost amongst the overwhelming number of CA threads .

make this a subscribed thread, and you will never have to look for it, we have the tools for a reason and they are quiet helpful. I never go straight to the forum, I land in my subscribed threads first.

Important stuff here

Now that we all got that out of our system...MtnDawg is doing a ride Sat that will start at Desert Daze central. Says it will be an all day'er and to bring lots of gas. Like enough to do 146 miles, give or take a few miles.

Skip, Allyn and I are going.

Oops I forgot to say this is on our little dirt bikes. I'll be carrying extra gas since YB tanker KTM isn't around.

Sorry Cathy, I would love to make this ride but, I have other commitments.
You can borrow the super tanker if you like.
Have a great ride and be safe!

dunno.

Maybe some posts were deleted . . .

Cathy threatened to roost everyone, but it's Cathy, so it was more of a 'heads up' for anyone who might be in the general area when she's on the KTM (she's got the same problem I do -- can't stop unless there's a curb to get a foot onto . . . )
