The Gubermint pushed a dozer all the way to Jackson cabin.

They phucked up one of the best moderate FWD roads in the state.

A phrickin Subaru or Prius can now drive it!

The tread was half the fun the other half is scenery like this. The rider is Drizzit

I will not ride this route for several years.

Jackson cabin was a great route, but the loose dirt and rocks wore me out. got back to camp, ate dinner and then went to bed. I think a years worth of rain should pack it down...
Enjoyed meeting everyone at desertdaze, will see you all again next year.

HTM & skyhigh340 (and anyone else)

Iron Horse is doing their annual GS Ride on Sunday (not limited to BMW's - usually have plenty of KTMs, Hondas, etc).

2 routes this year - a 'big bike' route, and a 'little bike' route.

Free lunch.

Meets in the dead strip-mall parking lot on Continental Rd just east of I-19. Details are on their facebook page (which I can't get to from work . . .).

According to the Iron Horse Facebook page, meet at 8:00 am at the corner of Madera Canyon Rd and Nogales Hwy. Take Continental exit off I-19 and go east about 1 mile. They ask that you let them know if you're coming but I see no way to do it on Facebook.

AZ Game & Fish is having desert cleanup days down by Amado on Sat and Sun. I'll be down there helping on Sat but I don't know which I'll do on Sun.

Dave

A friendly ATGATT reminder

So Sunday after desert daze, we all packed up and cruised over to hot wells (a small dunes/ hot springs near the new mexico border). After unloading I went on a little run around on the nx125, and since it was going to be short I just threw on a helmet. Unfortunately, I biffed it pretty hard, and the bike landed on my ankle and foot. After hobbling around for a few days i finally went to the dr, and it turns out I have a very small hairline fracture on my metatarsal.

The moral of the story is, wear your gear whether it's a 5 minute or 5 hour ride. Had I had motocross boots on i would have been totally fine. I'm just glad that it was as minor as a hairline fracture, it could have been way worse. See you guys and gals in 6 weeks
