there goes the neighborhood

I didn't see a thread for Tucson newcomers so I'll drop in here. Looking forward to getting some good rides in, after I get used to the weather here.
See you guys out and around.

Steve

I was worried the helicopters would get it before I did.
At least you guys enjoyed it.
I was worried the 17 inch tire would not fit around his waist when he left,
and we all know a case of bottled beer on a bike, would not survive the ride here.
We could let him slide with cans in a backpack, but I can do that,
and the tires would still be here.

Hey Russ - Thanks for the temp warning!
I'm plannng on heading out before the sun rises and making a loop on
the Mt lemmon control road and back into town before it gets too warm! Should be fun enough, and I'll be back home with a cold beverage in the shade before noon.
Thanks - Danny.

I wish old KIC would have been there the day we took the,
Where the Leaves Fall Trail,
to the bottom of the Santa Rita's,
branch off to
Where the Run Off Goes Trail.
He would have reminded me,
never go down a mountain that is so steep
your ass is looking at your brain.

I made it,
but my ass has never looked at my brain the same way.

Are there meet ups in Tucson? I realize group rides can be sketchy, but would still like to meet some locals. ;)

In theory, we meet at the Red Garter on Speedway on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. So this coming Thursday is a meet up night. I'm planning to be there. Finally have a bike to ride again.

Hoosier Daddy

WTF......HoosierTrailmaster really did give it up......I guess he shouldn't say things in front of the wife that he can't get out of .

At the least he should check in. To my Tucson friends, tell Allyn hello if you hear from him.

Hey, HTM was at the last RG meeting a week ago. He is still alive in the group. Maybe in a few months he will admit his addiction to his wife and give her an ultimatum, which I am sure will only make him a single guy instead of married guy.

We all seem to go through cycles..( Pun intended). Due to Allyn's inability to ride within his body's age related healing processes, too many broken bones and bikes has caused a certain level of non-riding capabilities (aka Wifey).

I, having sold all my Dual sport bikes has left me only my 2 Ventures. I hope soon to get another KLR650 and be back on the dirt.

Once Allyn's standards puts him on a less demanding, more comfortable and ridable bike for an old guy , I'm sure he will be back... ( if the divorce doesn't wipe him out)
