I think the 990 is the best choice and stick with the high quality dirt to keep the speed up. This isn't the time of year to be trail blazing.

I would take one day and go to Patagonia for lunch. That would get you back and forth through the SRV. I wish I had time to make tracks for you, but there should be plenty available. Enter at "the monument", that's the south end of the Huachucas near the border fence. Head west towards Lochiel, then north and out to Patagonia. From patagonia head back in to SRV and find a different route east bound and exit back through "the monument" or north out by Parker Canyon Lake.

Second day I would do a long HIGH SPEED loop NE across Middlemarch, Sunizona, Rucker Canyon, lunch in Douglas and back through Bisbee.

Load up a GPS and go.

Hey guys, I'm selling the newest member to my motorcycle flock due to my laptop pooping out on me. If anyone is looking for a cheap street bike, this would be great. Also anybody that enjoys old all original Honda bikes (skip?)

No no, no apples. Unfortunately since I need a good graphics card (CAD, some games, etc), and a decent processor, that raises the bar from the typical 400ish buck laptop to around 850+ to get a decent gpu.

Lesson of the day, engineering is an expensive major

Retired from 35 years as EE at the missile factory.

What branch of engineering?

It may be an expensive degree to get, but a good engineer will always be able to find a job. Stick with it, it will pay off.

free exhaust

If anyone in Tucson is hell bent on picking themselves up a used 6th Gen VFR exhaust today is your lucky day. It's from an 06 with probably 15k miles on it. Been sitting around for a while but in good shape. Going in the trash otherwise.

It just isn't fun to ride slow around here this time of year. There's a Cochise County ride thread in here. You might want to try there as well.

It's pretty awesome.

I don't know whether it's greened up yet, but when it does:

When are you going to be here, I'll try to help you out.

Come on...we know that picture was taken on your last secret mission to the Serengeti.

Tonsils out? What are you 10? I am doing fine...bought a decent mountain bike to replace dirt bike riding...damn...that shit is a bitch. Been riding at the end of the street on the Sweetwater trail system...don't tell me wife but I think mountain bike riding might be more dangerous than dirt bike riding.

Been fighting a draining tonsil for about three years. Finally convinced my GP to order a CT. There's a big abscess behind one.

Mountain biking is way more dangerous. I predict collarbones and wrists.

Allyn, collarbones are no fun, trust me!

BTW I am typically riding Sunday mornings in the Santa Ritas, but it is at a pretty tame pace. It seems that bones don't heal nicely once you're in your 70's. If anybody wants to join in, send me a private message.

It is.

If you're interested, Cirrus Visual (local marketing company) puts together a monthly networking / MTB ride, with free beer after the ride. 4th Wed of each month, usually 5pm, and usually they alternate between Sweetwater & Fantasy Island. Its pretty casual - just show up & ride, then hang out and BS afterwards.
