It can be done, just need to tell yourself you can do it. Obviously, it is easier to pick up a DR 350. In some ways the big bike is nice because they are PLUSH and take the rocks a little nicer...until you get to a good sized step-up, then they can be tough.
Well I've done the eastern chiva falls trail most of the way on my 600 a couple of times now, just wasn't sure how much harder lower loop is. Plus I banged my case last time and had to forego some rides while waiting for case covers and seals to come in. Also put on an engine guard. duh.
Now that I've got a serious knobbie on the back (spanking new k270 vs worn KLR stocker) I feel a lot better about things out there. But still, no dice for this Thursday. Bump that ride to Friday, Cathy?

Well a friend and I are doing the reddington to backside loop Sunday morning on our KLRs, all are welcome to join. Details still falling into place, but probably meet at Tanque Verde around 7:30ish.

I'd be happy to do some exploring with you Friday. There's been some good rain lately, we could do chiva pools and/or the falls. There's also some single track up there I've been keen on checking out. Really are a lot of options, how long are you looking to ride?

Hey solo! Congrats on the KLR - too bad you couldn't jump in on our ride this morning, the green side of Mt. Lemmon was stunning and the roads were fantastic and bumpy!

Thanks for the ride guys!

What's your ideal ride/schedule/criteria?

I can ride most weekends, unless the boss sends me out of town.
I enjoy riding trails, but it is a KLR.
If I had my choice of rides I'd head to the mountains and make it a 2 day ride.

Anyone else notice the ton of rain in reddington area today? I'm hankering to finally make it to chiva and see water!

Just lay on the couch and watch Netflix for two or three days rotating bags of frozen peas on the affected area and you'll be fine. Even though you feel ok, don't go out and mow the lawn! DAMHIK
